At this point we have one of, if not the best offense in the NBA. This is nothing new for this Suns team from the DAntoni years, but there is a major difference, Porter. People keep ragging on him that this team still sucks defensively, true, however, unlike DAntoni, Porter will hold players accountable for defensive mistakes. He's not here with the mentality that the team with the most points played better defense.

Will this make the Suns into a great defensive team? No. But, as the season progresses, so will the attention to defense. If your coach is in your ear after every game because of defensive errors, sooner or later you're going to pay attention and try to improve.

There are plenty of positives to take back from last nights game. I finally saw a backup PG that could take pressure off of Nash. When Barbosa was on the floor, not only did we not get killed, but we actually built leads. If he can continue to improve his game and the rest of the team continues to trust him with the ball, our prayers to relieve Nash may be answered.

Shaq, hitting his free throws, dominating the low post, doing yoga, big cactus wants that #5 more than ever and as the NBA knows, a motivated, in shape Shaq is a dangerous creature.

STAT, will now we know he listens. After all the **** we gave him for being lackluster on the boards, the past few games he's been gobbling up rebounds, boxing out and making us all quite happy with his effort. The 8 assists last night were also a welcoming sign.

Jason Richardson, welcome to a star studded lineup sir, enjoy the open looks and the one on ones.

Barnes, stud.

Lopez and Amundson continue to put in solid minutes. Lopez should be more aggressive on the boards and the 7 footer needs to start dunking the ball but as a rookie, I like what I'm seeing thus far. He will learn a lot under the Shaqtus.

Nash, he had an off game for whatever reason and some fools are already calling for his head. What I need to remind you of, is that through out the season, we've built leads with him on the floor, not lost them. He's +17 this season... better than ANYONE else on the team. Yes he's having problems with turnovers, but as he gets adjusted to his new teammates and the new system, that will hopefully change. He's had some great games for the Suns this season and he'll have many more.

Grant Hill, you know what to expect from him every night. A solid piece in the Suns puzzle.

What is your problem.

Don't you know Nash is done. Amare only cares about himself. Barbosa is a headless chicken. Shaq is too old and will turn on his own team. Hill is over the hill. Barnes only gets paid about a million for a reason. Lopez can't do anything and was a wasted pic. Dragic is worse. Kerr doesn't know anything. Porter is clueless about who his team is and how to coach. D'antoni was the greatest. Sarver is going to destroy the Suns and then sell.

How about a little sense of reality.

Nice sarcasm Shazaam6 but you probably shouldn't include the Kerr and Sarver comments, those aren't sarcasm :)

Ha I had a feeling this thread wasn't going to be popular. No one wants to look at the bright side. Just a bunch of complaining and let me be the first to say trade so and so.

Haha, well I guess I didn't know what I was thinking starting this thread. It's all doom and gloom when your team has an all-star roster and is a whopping 2 games behind the second seed in the west. Silly me :p

Pretty good comments. A lot of things has gone right for us which could have gone wrong. We r in a much better condition than most of medias or experts have predicted. We should be relatively optimistic.

#1. Shaq in great shape, I bet nobody expected this.

#2. Barnes is better than any1 could have expected.

#3. Nash and Hill, 2 of our oldest players with injury/form concerns, remain in very good condition. They have slight drop in production, but it was expected for their reduced playing time and our new system.

#4. We got rid of 2 players who don't want to contribute, got J.Rich which is a great

I'm OK with we have done so far. But we r not yet good enough for a title run. This team still needs to work hard to improve. I hope they get a good rhythm after all-star.

J rich is the brightest spot so far this year. I never would have expected him to come here for bell and diaw, but i'm thrilled he did.
