He never panned out as hoped but still a pretty sad ending, Keefe is going to have another shoulder surgery and his season is over. he's played too many games to probably qualify for a medical redshirt year so I assume this is it for him. Tough break he injured the shoulder a few years back and was taking a redshirt year after having the surgery, but due to other injuries they burned his redshirt and he played the last half of the season. Apparently the shoulder has popped out of joint several times this year and he's been playign with considerable pain all year. It happened again recently and he's now out.
Clearly Keefe never should have been a McDonald's AA but he was still the type of kid you love to have in your program, hard worker, team player, good student etc so I wish him well.
I assume this means more minutes for Brendan Lane the rest of the season. Lane started and played 16 minutes against USC with Keefe out.
