Anyone else see this movie? This has got to be one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Toung in cheek mock of the old sci-fi horror movies. Super cheesy with dialoge like, "I see where you're coming from Betty. It must be hard being a scientists wife, the wife of a scientist."

The do so many tiny nuances too that are just hilarious. It's kind of like Airplane of Naked Gun without the slapstick. This is definitely a MDamien movie.

"You think we're aliens? That's absurd. Is this one of your earth jokes?"

This is playing at the Valley Art in Tempe so I checked it out.

If you're a fan of extremely cheesy 50's-60's sci-fi flicks you should get a kick out of this one. It was a very low-budget film shot on digital but done black and white in postproduction. They recorded the sound on a mono track and have a perfect overdramatic orchestra playing throughout. That and the intentionally ridiculous effects set the perfect mood.

The plot centers around a scientist and his wife going into the mountains to search for a crashed meteor. At the same time, a mad scientist needs this meteor to resurrect the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. Meanwhile, a spaceship becomes stranded on earth and the aliens need the chemical from the meteor for fuel to get going. Oh, and their pet mutant escapes and causes havoc. Hilarity ensues.

This was a pretty damn funny movie. The dialogue is so hilariously tongue in cheek in places it borders on genius. Unfortunately, the movie plays into the dirt and it loses its luster by the end of the movie. Also, the ultra cheesy effects are funny at first but become redundant by the end. For this reason alone I can't praise this film as the comic genius that everyone else is making it out to be. It's still worth ticket price, though.

Excellent cast. Everyone was perfect as the walking cliche they portrayed. The banter between the scientist and his wife is classic. The scene where the aliens try and infiltrate a dinner is pretty awesome, too. The mutant . . . well you have to see it to believe it. Too funny.
