Totally disagree....all the coaching in the world, with all the game planning added in, can not make up for an inability to do the job such as we saw from Lindley last night.

15 Runs
44 Passes with Lindley that couldn't even complete an interception.

Crappy game plan. We WERE out coached. Everyone is entitled to a bad day. This was BA's 3rd or 4th this season.

Don't know about being out coached. Arians was a jockey going into the race on a 3 legged horse. An old plow horse could have won a race like that.

sorry fellas....we were out coached in every single facet of that game... I am a huge BA fan but facts are facts..... BA allowed PC to dictate to him what we would do.

we, who normally make excellent halftime adjustments, came out of the locker room and got......worse.

it was like PC set us up in the first half knowing exactly what adjustments we were going to make at the break based on how his team played the first half.

did anyone see K Williams last night?? was he hurt or something??....I watched that first half thinking he was planning to pound them early, then bring in the shifty speed guy in the second half.....but instead he ran empty backfield damn near the entire second half......thus allowing the hags defense to focus solely on the pass rush and down field coverage.
we were in that game at the half....14-3.....come out of the tunnel,...keep their offense off the field, and score some points....hell, at that point 4 FG's would have been fine.
but the offense started trying to play tecmo bowl catchup while the defense started thinking strips and TO's instead of basic fundamental...TACKLE THE DAMNED BALL CARRIER!!

make excuses if you want to...but mental breakdowns across the board like that are coaching fails pure and simple.

staff needs a cranial rectal extraction in a hurry or our season is done.

BA being BA. This is who he is, period. Sometimes he gets a bit too cute in bad situations. He is playing with the hand he is dealt and trying to bluff the other guy into folding. Petey didn't fall for it and called his hand and won the pot.

He is starting LT but, of course, says it isn't because of the way Lindley played last night. Riiiigghhhttt...we buy that BA :) But, what else is he going to say, right?

Still love the guy, didn't lose respect for him at all. There were NO answers for that beat down last night.

The 49ers aren't going to just lay down next week. I anticipate that it will be a bit less ugly but still a loss for the Cards.

Lindley or Thomas it won't matter because they both are even less accurate than Drew Stanton and that's not too good.

I don't buy the "out coached" theory. Petey showed up with an AK-47, Arians was packing a Jelly Bean.

Newsflash... Stanton is Lindley.

AGREEEEEEEE 1000%

Lindley last night over threw, under threw, threw behind, threw too far in front, threw too high, threw in the dirt, and couldn't punch a td in from the red zone.

Also made 2 big throws (event though one was a pi and out of bounds lol)

doesn't that all sound pretty familiar.

QB's with talent can at least hit WR's they are locking onto and eventually will start getting picked because the other team knows where the ball will be.

Lindley, Scud, etc at least confuse the defense by putting it where no one expects it.

Always look at the positive.

Completely agree!! lol. But In that situation hide behind rocks or cover up and think of another game plan. BA came out throwing the jellybean right at his face and then grabbed his crotch and said want some. It was a horrible game plan. And had buddy Ryan like ego. Now I said I lost a little respect but he is a great coach and I'm glad he is here. Just had to be smarter. His system won't work with everyone especially a crappy QB

He was out coached, period. He even said after the game he should have run more.

If you took a poll of 100 coaches and asked them if the game plan was to throw 44 passes and run 15 times with a quarterback that is so inaccurate he can't even throw an interception, how many of them would say, GOOD IDEA! Lets get pass happy! Dumb assed game plan. I love BA but that wasn't smart. We had a shimmering glimpse of a running game and abandoned it to pass with Lindley?

Some of you people defy logic just to be pain in the asses and act all smart on a message board.

That game plan was stupid. Period.

Maybe he was out coached, maybe he wasn't? But when you're struggling to get 2 yards per carry it's hard to talk yourself into more of the same. Either way though, IMO, it wasn't the reason we lost. We were outmanned. You can put makeup on a 6 and turn her into a 7 but no amount of lipstick will turn a 1 into a 10. I don't really know where we rate on that scale but it's several notches below the Seahawks who right now are as close to a 10 as there is in the NFL.

And to anyone offended by the sexist rating scale, feel free to flip the genders.

There are a lot of similarities between Arians and Rex Ryan. They both say the goofiest things.

SoCal, surely you don't believe that. Lindley couldnt accomplish what Drew has in his dreams. When the entire fan base is pining for Drew and some semblance of competent qb play you know Drew and Lindley are night and day. The Cardinals should retire the number 14 forever, he stunk it up so bad.

I was amused by how Arians said he was happy with Lindley's play, but said he's going to start someone else and be prepared to pull him quickly.

He said others besides Lindly were responsible for the loss to Seattle. So let me get this straight. He's going to replace the guy who's play he was happy with, but won't replace the unnamed players who he says were responsible for the loss.

That's quality coaching right there.

Anybody that has:

lost any respect for Arians
Thinks he was outcoached
or questions his play calling with this Red Cross Roster,

needs to go back and look at the archives of seasons gone by.

What this team has accomplished this year is nothing short of a miracle. What in the hell did you expect on Sunday?
Ninety percent of the board was conceding Sunday's game and deeming it an impossible task. And now many of the same are questioning why/

Unbelievable.

Comparing Stanton to Lindley is (I suspect) just a reaction to people overrating Stanton by comparison. I'm not saying he's Palmer; I'm not saying he's Warner. But if our options are Stanton, Lindley, and Thomas, starting Stanton is a no-brainer and any poll would bear that out.

I think it's difficult to thrive with Stanton as your starting quarterback. I think it's almost impossible to even survive with Lindley in that same role.

I'm with SLANIDRAC on this one...

I was thinking today how awesome it is to be 11-4 and NOT 4-11. While I agree with the "we should have run more" sentiment its not like were were ripping off 5-7 yards a crack. Look! It's been a GREAT year! ...And I don't believe for one second that Michael B. and BASK are satisfied with that. We are a very good team on its way to being GREAT and I, for one, can live with that.

MARK IN SC :)

BASKING!!:D

the worst "ego" playcall i saw was bringing in logan to throw a wounded duck pass across his body that ended up 10 yards short of smokey, another one was a lindley pass attempt on third and one near midfield instead of calling a run

even collinsworth was like wtf? i don't get that, and neither did i
His throw was contested. Otherwise if there is anything Logan can do well it is throwing deep

Re-signing and bringing back Lindley because he is familiar with the BA offense sure reminded me of the Max Hall fiasco where Whisenhunt was fooled into thinking Hall could play because he could recite the playbook.

Both QBs blew up in the faces of their teammates.

I wish BA did not have to prove how dumb he could be when he has done so many smart things.

It sounds like it is still unclear to BA that Lindley is just not good enough to be on any NFL roster.

I've been thinking this too, because I wonder when Rex loses his job and Bowles loses his if he becomes our DC.

Difference is that BA wins with his depleted roster and Rex doesn't.

Lindley probably shows well in practices, he just can't translate it to game conditions.
