I love the attention Hooker is getting. He’s fascinating. You can use the search function on this site to see how Heupel’s offense worked. It was intentionally inordinately simple. The concern with Hooker is can he adapt to a far more complicated NFL system? He’s got the arm, but the learning curve figures to be long and steep. He may not start the first 2 years. Think of the adjustment Trey Lance is trying to make and he came from a more omplex offense.
Yeah I went to UT and went to the Kentucky game last season. I think Hooker is a special person who’s battled adversity from his Virginia Tech days, to his ACL recovery.
Tennessee runs the veer and shoot. Spread the field and pick a side based on matchups with tempo. But tbh, the NFL is taking a lot of concepts from the college game.
I mean Kyler played in an “Air Raid” at OU. Kliff’s specialty was “Air Raid”. A lot of offenses in the NFL are borrowing concepts from the high school and college ranks.
