I think any pick in the top 3 will be gold. Even if the Suns are in position to draft Ball other teams will be clamoring to trade with the Suns.

Actually any pick in the top five should be good although I worry some about the Suns drafting Tatum.

Yeah we could always trade Ball... pass the ball I say. Really I dont know. Between his dad and his unorthodox kind of game there are some question marks :?:. Ball could be the perfect fit or a total disaster.

Honestly, anything below 2 will piss me off. I can live with 3 because there's the outside chance Jackson ends up a stud, but any lower and we got screwed.
Prepare to be angry. Just go run tankathon ten times (I know you probably have).

Lonzo has talent. However, I do not want to deal with the father if that is possible. I can see him wanting the spotlight. I want the Suns to be all about team.

...We get kicked in the nuts!!!!

Search your feelings Suns forum... you know it to be true.
LOL Me,

Listen I would love nothing more than to be shocked and pleased and surprised, but I honestly and truly expect us to get screwed, just like the Suns always do.

Our franchise has some dark curse on it.

I agree totally. I don't want the suns turning into some kind of circus. But if Ball is BPA then get ready for the clown car I suppose...

If we're talking hopes, I'd like to see us pick 3rd, get Josh Jackson and not have to deal with more PG madness.

I dont know if that's the best outcome, but for my taste, I'd be pleased if that happened.

For me Jackson is the easiest choice because he gives the suns a lot of what we need without having to do trades. If we got #1 then maybe Fultz could be a game changer and worth dealing Bledsoe.

I just don't know if #3 gets us Jackson... I think he goes top two.

I want Lauri Markkanen so I'm not too concerned with where we land. Obviously I'd prefer the first spot but I'd probably just use it to trade down or even out if that happened so it's more about the general value for me than any of the top players.

I want Fultz (best player allegedly), Jackson (I think he'll work great with Booker and Chriss) and then Ball.

If we get a PG then I want us to move Bledsoe. Don't repeat the double or triple PG debacle. Outside chance to play Bledsoe as backup SG if we get Ball. Backup PG is off course Ulis.

Maybe I have watched the lottery results live once.

The reason, I can't take the the format of announcing the losers first. It torments me to see the Suns eliminated early and watching and all those giddy people getting the top picks.

Perhaps the Suns team representative should not be there for the announcement if they do not land in the top 3. Then, if I do not see Devin Booker, I am out of there.

I will probably be getting the lottery results again from posters or ESPN. :(

I figure we'll probably draft 4th but I won't feel "screwed" when it happens, not even if we finish 5th. We're promised to pick between 1 and 5 and that will happen and if it doesn't, then I'll start to feel screwed (a little). But I've been dealt a bad hand far too many times in life to view a slight disappointment as a screw job.

Speaking of bad hands, I once flopped a full house, queens over and followed that up by flopping trip queens in back to back hands. I even caught the last queen on 4th street on the final hand of those three. I lost all 3 hands, now that's a screw job. Having a 20% or 39% chance not come true, that's just life guys.

I hear you AzStevenCal. It would relieve the pressure if this is who the Suns really want. However, I would like to know the Suns first choice and getting the first pick is probably the only way to find out.

Getting the first pick would be huge because of all the trade down scenarios.

I'm with you here except I'd change "huge" to "nice" as it only gives us more possibilities. OTOH if we find out that the front office "knew" this was a 1 player or 2 player draft, yeah, that would be huge.

If we get the #1 pick, I'd be interested in trading it but I'd like to get a lottery pick in return, plus whatever else we could get. This is a really good draft that is fairly deep.

If Philly gets the LA pick, they'll have #1-3 and their second pick can't be lower than #6. They may trade up because they have a ton of youth right now and may want to guarantee they get a player that fits with them.

The Lakers also have the #28 pick, plus their own pick if they land #1-3.

Other teams with multiple 1st round picks...

Orlando has #5 and #25, if they don't move.

Sacramento also has 2 lottery picks, #8 & #10 if they don't move.

Portland has 3 first round picks, #15, #20, and #26.

Brooklyn has #22 & #27.

Utah has #24 & #30.

Ill take this opportunity to do my annual "the ping pong setup is garbage" complaint. Should be standard worst to first. That removes all "frozen envelope" BS.

And also, if youre willing to tank 82 games, then you absolutely deserve the #1 pick. Thats painful. You deserve it.

Some interesting trade partners. I particularly find the Magic and Kings interesting. Even the Lakers if the Suns get lucky.
