I think the easiest way of fixing the tanking and the lottery would be even the odds more.

#1 25%
#14 0.5%

that is a bit of a joke tbh.

#1 15%
#2-4 each 10%
#5-14 each 5%

all I know is I'm going out and buying some depends today because I fully expect to crap my pants when Minnesota is shown to have the 14th pick.

I was thinking about that, wouldn't it still show the Suns to have the 14th even if we moved into the top 3 as we would then get Minnesota's pick since it's top 13 protected. So if that's true, we may think we didn't move up until they announce the top 3.

That would be a roller coaster of disappointment to elation!

no they will show Minnesota as the pick owner even if we get the pick.

Took me about 30 tries to get the Suns #1 in the lottery machine today.

if that were the case, then I'd REALLY need the depends...for the moment of joy and the crushing moment of reality.

I've read some things in the past about awarding the best non-playoff team with the #1 pick. (Essentially going backward to prevent blatant tanking and make everyone push for a better record.)

Any chance the NBA can implement that idea starting tonight?

This is such torture. The odds are so slim. They WILL be #14. We all know it.

Oh please let me be wrong. Any of the top 3. I don't care.

Giving every team the same odds and not locking the top 3 wouldn't be horrible either. I think it would be an improvement.

Put 14 teams into a hat, first drawn gets #14, last drawn gets #1, Done.

Me too. I guess they don't do that, but I'm not sure why not nor do I know for sure they don't. I do wish that were the case though.

The Morrii will be representing the Suns at the lottery tonight.

I recall last year being so disappointed since we actually had a decent chance as far as the odds go, but this year I have feeling. I know we'll be stuck at 14, but the Suns are so due. Maybe based on how good the past year has gone, I just can't help but want our luck to continue. Simmons did a karma lottery and wrote the Suns as #1 in most deserving to win.

Even if we arent top 3, we could still draft the eventual best player. This draft is deep enough that could happen--and we have 3 shots to get it.

Way to go. We had the top spot locked till Debbie Downer went and ruined everything. ;)

True. I don't even care if he's the 'best' in the draft. I just want to find one that is a quality starter and plays above average defense. If they stay healthy that would be awesome too. Landing that will make me happy, finding two out of three I'll be ecstatic!

If the top three are MIL, LAL, and BOS, I'm never watching NBA again.

Its reverse psychology.

OK. I jump in. We ARE going to win it this year. I just KNOW it.

Better?

good God...the Lakers are going to win it after ESPN just felated/highlighted James Worthy for no apparent reason.
