If the Diamondbacks are going to succeed in 2019 then their "suck up to the players" manager needs to get a backbone and tell us fans the truth. I'm very tired of him telling us how much progress his lame players are making. Steven Souza has a million excuses as to why he sucks, bottom line he sucks and was a horribly expensive free agent. Alex Avilla is a AAA catcher at best. He also is always bothered by some little tweak or tightness somewhere. Another bust that needs to be released. Shelby Miller?? He is always just one rehab assignment away from returning. When he returns and starts he'll be pulled in the third inning because of pain in his elbow. Management, just admit he was a enormous mistake, will never be a success and release him. Diekman, and Bracho are garbage and need to go. Boxberger, either take a salary reduction or give him his release, All are unreliable along with most of our crappy bullpen. Pollock, let him test free agency, he'll come crawling back when few teams show any interest. For Christ sake resign Goldsmith before he tires of management BS and leaves out of frustration. The infield is largely intact and effective, don't mess with it. Jake Lamb, he either returns healthy and stays healthy or release him. Let Escobar play a full season. If Luvullo would stop jerking Chris Owens around he might be more effective. Also resign David Peralta, he is our best hitter. He sucks in left field so coach him to be better!!
Last thing, fire Mike Butcher immediately! He is total crap, he is NOT effective. He should have been fired last year. Management brings him back and look where it has got us, eliminated with a horrible last month of pitching. Enough of Luvello hedging and lying to us in the media and in his pitiful post game pressers.
