This is more of a fantasy baseball based question, but I was wondering if some of you guys can give me the lowdown on him.

Is he healthy? Should I be worried about his past injuries? Where will he be batting in the lineup? And finally, what numbers do you project for him?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Reading between the lines:

Apparently not quite yet; with position players once the arm strength is back, they don't typically reinjure the elbow - but it may be another few months before he's 100%; 3rd or 4th once he starts hitting decently; and - who knows? - but he should have a decent OBP.

Melvin has said that for now the batting order will be:
Gonzo - 3rd
Glaus - 4th
Green - 5th

Gonzalez is supposed to get more time in the field sometime soon, and has said he should be fully ready by Opening Day. I dont know what kind of numbers to expect for him this year, but he should have a solid year at the plate considering the protection in the lineup behind him.

If it was me I would be cautious about Gonzo. Since his carreeer year in 2001 his production has dwindled a little each year. My projection is that he will hit around .275 with 80 to 90 RBI's and 25 to 30 homers.

I think that his age and the injury will slow him down.

Ah, the "G" Force . . . surrounded by alot of C's -- Counsell and Clayton, then Cruz, Chad, and Chris (but it will probably be Koyie). :D
