F the fishies. Guess Imma Avs bandwagon fan now.

And that major penalty was BS.

I’ll agree with you that it shouldn’t have been a major. At worst, it was 2 minutes.

At the same time, I could care less. You don’t give up 4 goals on a power play. You don’t give up a 3-1 series lead.

Let’s go Sharks! Win for Jumbo and Little Joe!

It was a combination between being shorthanded for 5 minutes and the Sharks being plain old pissed off. You could see them skate with fire. Without the major, the Sharks would have lost methinks.

Regardless, you're right. If you give up 4 goals in 5 minutes, you're gonna have a bad day.

They were definitely pissed. Jumbo fired everyone up on the bench.

I don’t think the refs saw the hit initially and just saw the aftermath.

From one Bay Area resident to another, thank you Russ!

I can't take any credit was picking my GF up at SFO as she was returning from the Philippines. I did hear about the game on the radio this morning coming in.

And my FB was blowing up with Sharks fans.

I like The Hockey Guy’s take on this. Worth watching both videos.

Exactly. The NHL plays a best of seven so that one poor call (hello Saints) can't decide the series. Vegas had their chance to close this out three times and failed to do so. The Cup doesn't come easy and that's why it is so revered.

O’Halloran is a pretty good ref. He made a bad call. It happens. Refs make an additional $18,000 each series they officiate, so it’s a costly mistake.

I'm glad they apologized. It doesn't make Vegas fans any happier, but it was a bad call and on a judgement like that in the future, the refs should be able to go to the replay and make sure they get it right.

On one hand, you're absolutely correct - it's good that the NHL recognized the foul up and apologized, hopefully so it doesn't happen again.

On the other hand...

We resigned Pirri and Nosek.

Carpenter, Bellemere, and Miller are gone.

Engelland is reported to be on the verge of a 1 year deal.

Wild Bill is back! For 8 years.

Can we sign Gusev?
