It's nice to know that I have a magnum opus...but disappointing that I have failed to top it in almost 7 and a half years.

Now I know what it feels like to be M. Night Shyamalan.

I mean...this had to be funnier...

I thought this was hilarious Ken. Don't remember if I saw it here or FB though. :p

Hollywood won't make new movies, so if I'm going to get a sequel, at least it's one with a great combo writer/director/actor. that's the sad reality of the theatrical business.

And I have no problem being much more picky about where I spend my money, watching more online/streaming content, going to my local theater that shows old movies, or heck, watching DVDs at home. I'm not addicted to the movie theater. I can accept that the theater is full of crap and not force myself to go watch it. I don't have to shrug my shoulders and say, "well, if we're only going to get remakes/sequels, at least do your best to try to make them good." Nope, I don't have to do that at all. So yeah, this is a stupid movie idea.

Cheese, you get a pass from me because you kind of have to be addicted to the movie theater. It's less pleasure and more work and research for you ;)

And yet, you don't hesitate to post about every movie that comes out--either hating it or hating it without even seeing it. Strange way to live your life.

That is because about every movie is crap. Not so strange.

Can they somehow resurrect 'Johnny the boy' and 'Toe Cutter'?

Golly gee, as is my right. Actually, I figured you'd be over here to comment on my other angsty post from yesterday. I can say, "And yet, you don't hesitate to post bad things about Stout every time you see his posts," and be just as accurate as the above statement.

If a movie looks like crap to me, I'll post it. If it looks good, I'll post it. If it was crap, I'll post it. If it was good, I'll post it. If it was meh, or okay, or slightly disappointing, chances are, I'm not posting about it, because why bother? So you usually get posts at either end of the spectrum. Since there are many more crappy movies than good ones being made...you get the picture. But again, making out that I never like movies is a bold-faced lie, so I'll accept your apology :)

I think you're just missing all the good movies and only paying attention to the bad ones. :)

I hated those movies.

:D

That is because you are not sophisticated enough to understand the underlying story being told in both of these films. In the Dark Knight Rises, Bane is a metaphor for the prison we all live in within society and his mask represent how we all hide from our true selves. As for Inception, the reality we live it does not match the reality we have created for ourselves, thus creating these lies we live every day.

If you cannot see these films for what they really are, then why bother watching any film?

:D :p :D :p

PS Happy Birthday Stout.
