I just picked up a copy for my Xbox, haven't played it yet. Can't play it until the Dbacks game is over tonight.

Whats the deal with no Tuna in Dallas? I have only played one half, Dallas @ Cards. I noticed that they don't have the right coach for Dallas.

I need to get a gamepad with analog control pads for my PC, because right now I can't take advantage of the special playmaker controls. Driving me nuts!

We should start an online league soon.

Started a franchise with the Cards on my Xbox. First preseason game I beat the Cowboys 27-20. Second game against the Chargers I got destroyed 37-7. I then decided to sim the rest of the preseason and get on with the games that count.

First game against the Lions is a 35-24 victory. Here's the recap:

Opening drive is culminated in a 3 yard TD run by Emmitt. 7-0

Lions kick 40 yard field goal. 7-3

Blake finds Johnson for a 3 yard td pass. 14-3

Harrington hits Rogers for 68 yard td. 14-10

Blake hits Q for 40 yard td. 21-10

Harrington to Hakim for 48 yard td. 21-17

Harrington 80 yards to Hakim. 21-24...

Here is where it gets fun. After Michael Stone pinned a Player punt at the Detroit 6, a 3 and out by my defense forces a punt. That punt is returned 44 yards for a touchdown by Gilmore. 28-24

Trying to run out the clock, but needing a first down in Detroit territory to seal the victory, Blake finds Johnson again, this time for 22 yards. 35-24. FINAL.

Key Cards stats for Opening Day:

Blake 16-22 202yds 3td 2sk

Smith 19carries-91yds 1td.
Shipp 4 carries-20yds

Johnson 9 catches for 129 yds and 2tds

In my Madden franchise owner mode i started 0 of 4 in preseason so i started trading high salaried veterans for draft pick or younger player. You are only allowed a maximum of 10 draft picks.marquise Walker for a 6th pick.Blake for a 3rd.Russell Davis for whatever i could get.Traded high salaries for younger cheaper players.Tried to build team around Bryant and Fisher and Pace and Thompson on Defense.Had a slow start and went downhill from there.Ended up 3-13.Fired Coaches and hired Gary Kubiak as HC.Did slightly better next season. The owner mode is nice to try.Still learning but it is fun to try different ways to manage the franchise.

I ended up releasing him because of that! I created myself as a DT, and rather nice one at that.

Features that I really love about this year's edition:

-One button package substiutions.

-The ability to create unique uniforms for existing NFL teams, including their logos.

-The revamped salary system. It now reflects how salaries for players "balloon" up over the course of the contract, putting your team in cap trouble.

-Create-a-stadium, corporate sponsorships and naming rights for your stadium, and the ability to relocate your franchise.

A note to anyone who is playing using the owner mode.

DO NOT LOSE A LOT OF MONEY FOR THREE STRAIGHT YEARS!

I did, and I got foreclosed on! I had to sell my share of the Cardinals.

Needless to say, I'm starting over!

I am using owner mode, but do you not really have any control over anything until after the first season or something? I can't do anything right now.

Yeah you can raise lower prices, conncessions, tickets etc but util the seaosn is over you cant do all the stadium stuff, etc

I tried to build the Cards a stadium with $200 million out of my pocket and it got voted down!

Oh well, at least it is realistic!

You can even relocate your team. Sometimes or some years there will be offers for your team to move with incentives. Or you can move the team to about 100 or more cities in the US, canada, and mexico.

Marcus Bell was the man at UA. I think he lead the Pac-10 in tackles 1 year and came close a second year.

My second game vs. the Seahags was not pretty. 55-7 I lost. The game was not as close as the score would indicate. Blake probably completed like 8-44 passes, my recievers dropped about 10 passes themselves.
