What happened? Did the cards come down on MadJack?

Yes.

They refused to hang the banner which read "NO FIX IT, NO BISCUIT !!"

:|

So, now he is essentially their yes-man in order to continue the banner tradition. It's a joke.

There was nothing wrong with the previous banner.

Hell, maybe it would have inspired the team and helped us beat the Rams.

It was perfect for the mood of the fan base at the time and used BA's own words in a sarcastic manner.

I guess the Cards don't "get" sarcasm. They have bought into their own hype.

We are not back. We haven't done anything this year. We don't even have a winning record.

I get that the team is now twisting your arm to be overly positive, but give me a freaking break, Jack.

Sincerely, BIM :)

Dems' idea is the best I've heard so far:

Ground The Jets

Yeah I understand wanting to stay positive, but realistic is important. I could see that if we climb above .500 by beating Seattle.

That sucks. And frankly it's what is going to keep us a second rate sports town. When the saints were the aints and wore bags over their heads it was appropriate! That's called being a passionate fan . . . knowing the reality of your team! I get its their ball, but to get their panties in a bunch and take their ball home WHEN THEY ARE NOT PRODUCING is just being a bunch of wusses. Man up Cardinal organization. NO FIX IT NO BISCUIT was clever and not a slam. It was an honest statement! So lame on the organization. Can't blame MadJack for having to cowtow to them if he wants to bring in the banner, but censorship sucks.

Cards fans,

Well, lots of exciting posts this week! Love the passion and suggestions too!

As mentioned, I have used "NO FLY ZONE" at least once before so am going with:

"GROUND THE JETS!"

Special thanks to 'DemsMyBoys' for the clever idea. As always, I will post a pic here Monday morning and it will hang proudly as it has for the past 22 years.

Thanks,
MadJack.

Love that choice.

Hope it is acceptable. :|

Do you have to alert them to what the banner will say in advance from now on or anything?

Brian,

No, there is no requirement (and never has been) that I give the Cardinals notice or receive any sort of formal approval. Regardless, I often communicate with them beforehand for getting the logistics of the pick up time for the banner to go into the stadium. As a courtesy, I give them a heads up on the final banner choice as well. It's all good, dude.

Thanks,
MadJack.
