Luckily Howard has just about as much shooting skill as Shaq. Once this guy loses his athleticism he will be just another 6'11 big guy who can't shoot.

8-17 from the line, lol..

Yea I just realized that Joey Crawford is in there...the officiating is inherently bad in that case

It's been our main problem on defense: Always let the opp. hot hands get the open shot! Even if you double and rotate, you ought to cover the hot hands with special care, Damn it!

Amare, at 6-10, with his athletic ability and experience in the league shouldn't be averaging less than 8 rebounds per game. He's the "star player" so I hate to see his lack of hustle. Lopez makes dumb mistakes, but he gets the rebounds and blocks when he's in the game and does make that effort to get after the ball. He's gotten in bad defensive position just as Amare does. He fouled Howard once or twice to prevent an easy dunk, whereas Amare will let him go for it because we need his scoring.

He did at the time. Fact is, Amare should be averaging two more per game than he does now...I'd like to see a little more from him, that's all.

Amare is a one-dimensional player. Always has been. Always will be. I jumped off the "Amare will be a good defender" band wagon last season.

Amare has 26 and 8 through three quarters and did an incredible job defensively on a guy he has no business being able to guard in Dwight Howard. What more do you want? If Amare played like Lopez he wouldn't be out there for more than 7 minutes a game.

And expecting Amare or Frye to be good rebounders is dumb. They aren't good rebounders. That's how it's going to be, we need help from other people.

You really picked the right game to vent your hatred for Amare, when he is clearly the best player in the game. Nice.:D

Suns up 85-81 after the 3rd quarter. Suns were up by as many as 14 points in the 3rd quarter. Suns shooting 49% with 7/21 3 pointers, Magic 45% with 11/31 3 pointers.

Suns have committed 9 turnovers, Magic 17. :)

Suns have 10 offensive rebounds, Magic 11.

Suns have hit 12/20 free throws, Magic have hit 20/32 free throws. :(

Nash needs to find his shot to save us in the 4th quarter unless the team can be bothered to play defense and rebound.

Well he's had the rebounding in the past. It's just hard to see how much it's decreased the last few years, getting to the point where he's been the worst at rebounding in his career in the year we need it most, having such a small team.

Again, he was never as good as he probably should have been in rebounding, but has always been better than this.

So then what's the excuse for our starting center, J-Rich and Hill having less rebounds than Nash.. combined?

And since when is hitting people effort? Getting in a defensive stance and playing legitimate, hard defense is effort.. sending people to the line for free points isn't effort, it's stupid.

Are you kidding, against Howard? He has neither the smarts nor the strength. The Suns are undersized and this is the price we will pay when we play against a natural center.

Sigh...Amare picks up his 4th foul to open the 4th quarter and then we give up another 3. :(

Who or what are you talking about? I just said Lopez sucked and his "effort" isn't anything more than going out and hitting people.

Yeah, talking about Lopez, did Collins do a better job than Robin with all his experience? 5 fouls in 5 mins is nuts, he is not a great player but if he at least keeps putting up an effort, maybe just maybe he will learn to control himself. He is too young and he may yet grow into a serviceable backup center.

Oh geez...Nash ends up his free throw streak by missing 1 in crunch time of a big time.
