Oh, and I forgot. The into music and opening scenes were 100% different in the pilot. The visuals were all seen through a moving cutout of the cross on Magnum's ring. Music was terrible...sort of bad jazz meets bad disco.

I get the sense from re-watching the first few episodes that money was always pretty tight for TC, Magnum and to a lesser-degree, Rick. That's something I never really picked up on as a kid.

I need to rewatch the shows again. I hated Detective Tanaka when I was a kid, but I caught an episode last year on TBS and he was pretty funny

Rick was like a a playboy kinda guy, like he led on that he had money.... did he just use that to get chicks? Doesn't his stepfather have a part in later seasons?
