Just to make sure I understand, you're saying we have this year's 1st and the following year's 1st, correct? We're not owed any picks by anyone and actually owe our 2nd round picks to Memphis as part of the Jackson for Carter deal.
The reason I ask is Bright Side of the Sun has been pushing the idea we still have the Bucks pick (traded for Jerome & Baynes) as well as the Heat pick (traded for Bridges). They've posted a few articles mentioning those as trade chips, even in their Kevin Love articles last week those were mentioned.
I say stand pat unless someone really wants Tyler Johnson. I'd listen to offers for Johnson, Okobo, and Carter. I'd even include Jerome in that bunch but I doubt he has more value than any of those other 3. I wouldn't trade Oubre right now, he's been very clutch and his play in the final 2 minutes of close games helps make up for some of the boneheaded stuff he does in the first 46 minutes.
Bridges is someone that needs to be retained. He's the best perimeter defender on the team on a very affordable salary and we control his future. If Oubre demands too much money after next year, we have his replacement ready to go. I would only include Bridges in a deal for an All-Star type player.
If Orlando would work a deal for Bridges, Saric, and Tyler for Aaron Gordon and Terrance Ross, I'd jump on that. I think that might be a fair trade all around also. Gordon's had a down year. They could use a true stretch 4 like Saric to open things up more for Isaac and Vuvecic. Bridges gives them a good young wing to pair with Isaac and Fultz, and Bamba as their core. Terrence Ross is a scoring wing who could play Bridges role for us but not as good defensively but he offers more offensively. He's owed more money, which is a reason they might look to move him, but he'd able provide a scoring punch off the bench behind Book and Oubre. Gordon replaces Saric, of course. I'd include Carter in that deal also since word is they're looking to move Augustine as an expiring vet since Fultz has looked good this year. Carter or Okobo could play backup to him for cheap.
