Glad to see Curtis Taylor back on the PS.
I thought 26 flashed some ability and hustle late in the preseason games.

Sowell seems like an interesting prospect with his versatility. I loved the full house backfield/3 TE looks against Denver.

Taylor is big, strong and athletic...needs coaching and plenty of reps, but he could wind up being a factor, Chaz!

The one exception to BA's BPA approach to stocking his roster may very well be the PS. I think he's using the PS to fill specific depth needs:

After he added quality OT depth in Sowell and a .big guy to back up Dumpster Dan - that'd be Ta'amu - he turned to his PS to fill specific needs.

He wanted a pass rusher in case Abraham went down, and grabbed Moch.

He was going with only 4 WR's (plus PP21) and wanted a reliable possession guy. Welcome back Kerry T.

We're kind of thin at OC - say "hi" to Blake.

He wanted more than 4 safeties on his full 61 so he brought back C Taylor.

I'm not sure what role Rowe fills - except he's all-around, energetic and adds speed & quickness to our group of LB's.

That leaves 3 PS spots to fill, and I expect us to continue to address needs:

1. Speed at WR (Hawkins?)

2 & 3. An all-purpose TE & a Housler TE clone who can run and catch.

Excellent summary, Jeff. I am impressed that they managed to sign Moch to the PS...a Bengals' fan on PFT just wrote that Moch could excel in the 34 and his problem was playing in the 43.

That plus those medical and off-field red flags.

Yeah - the Bengals boards were bummed that he was cut, but cited the numbers game and that he had a foot injury (?) that kept him off the field. Can't make the club from the tub, as they say - hopefully he pans out for us.

Purportedly, Moch had some migraines that limited his playing time with the Bengals. Has speed - 4.44 in the 40! He was the sack leader in the 2012 pre-season (3.5).
Hope the Cards physician can do something about the migraines.

There is some good meds out there for migranes and I understand that some people have used acupuncture to alleviate them.

Reggie Walker was not waived. They Cards offered him a contract, but was a big cut from his last. He didn't want to take that big of a cut so he told them he was out. He chose the Chargers over the Eagles.

Interesting. If true (not doubting you) then Keim is the no nonsense type GM we have needed since forever.

And Walker has a good agent. But Walker wasn't an integral part of our team at all so no big loss.

That's why I like what Keim did. Walker was VERY good in ST's and a solid LBer. Alexander made him completely redundant with more upside.

True. I just posted how irrelevant Walker was to our football team on another thead. I'm much happier with Minter than Reggie Walker.
