2021 - Prove It
Also, several blocking TEs are on the market. No rush to sign Richard Rogers (and probably no rush to him either) until you know Ertz won't be healthy.
I hope the Cardinals will start Paris Johnson at RT. I'm tired of seeing Beachum out there knowing he is a year to year proposition. Johnson has looked the part so far.
A complaint I had with Kliff is that I didn't think he ever hammered out an identity. Same with Keim and what type of players he wanted to bring in. I like that Gannon and Monti seem to be emphasizing the "professional" trait. I don't know that it will work, but at least they are trying to establish some sort of identity.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
The Cardinals doing what "makes sense" is not always a given.I'm sure they will. It's where he's been lining up so far and it just makes sense.
I would like to see PJ at RT as well. Let him get as much experience at RT before Kyler comes back. Then you have your bookend OTs in place with solid experience headed into the 2024 season.I hope the Cardinals will start Paris Johnson at RT. I just know it will be a great class for LTs in the 2024 draft, and I need to make sure Johnson can be a fit at RT.I would like to see PJ at RT as well. A good blocking WR is the equivalent of a bad blocking TE. Strong disagreement with your take. If anything, I would argue that the Cardinals may run more Pascal in the slot in 3WR packages to bolster our running game out of those personnel packages. Also consider that Zach Pascal is one of the better blocking WR in the league. He can be used like a TE in a 3 TE formation.
That is where he is getting the reps at minicamp...I hope the Cardinals will start Paris Johnson at RT. I'm tired of seeing Beachum out there knowing he is a year to year proposition. Johnson has looked the part so far.
I want PJ out there, too...mainly because no matter what's been said publicly, I doubt Kyler has 100% faith in Beach, after all of the off-season garbage (right or wrong).I would like to see PJ at RT as well. I like Johnson, but I think he's maybe the third LT in next year's draft. Granted Alt and Fashanu look like the could be multiple time All Pro types, so I don't really mean it as a knock on Johnson.I just know it will be a great class for LTs in the 2024 draft, and I need to make sure Johnson can be a fit at RT.
I don't take minicamp as any sort of given. That is where he is getting the reps at minicamp...
I would agree that both Alt and Fashanu are better prospects. Latham could be really good as well.I like Johnson, but I think he's maybe the third LT in next year's draft. Granted Alt and Fashanu look like the could be multiple time All Pro types, so I don't really mean it as a knock on Johnson.
As the #1 as well. Beachum has been #2 behind him. That is where he is getting the reps at minicamp...
Wims was cut yesterday, so I guess they got enough looks to say he can't make the team. One area I will praise the Cardinals regarding their roster. Plenty of vet RB, C, DT, and LBs available to sign before training camp so I don't mind waiting and getting more of a look at the current players on the roster. No reason to bring Kareem Hunt to take June reps from Keaontay Ingram. Monti and Gannon probably have an idea of who will stick but getting more looks at a player like Wims to ensure he can't be a 6th WR does matter.
I think "speed kills" was what we were trying for under Kliff. Lots of undersized fast guys.A complaint I had with Kliff is that I didn't think he ever hammered out an identity. Same with Keim and what type of players he wanted to bring in. I like that Gannon and Monti seem to be emphasizing the "professional" trait. Not necessarily as they keep a flyer on everyone they workout. He might return in the future.Wims was cut yesterday, so I guess they got enough looks to say he can't make the team.
I like Verse a lot too. He had a 24% pressure rates last year which is pretty sick. I do think he is a bit more of a 3-4 OLB.MHJr, Fashanu and Tuimoloau are my top 3 non-QB hopes for next year's draft right now.

I am holding off on EDGE guys until I see what our defense looks like this year.I like Verse a lot too. He had a 24% pressure rates last year which is pretty sick. I do think he is a bit more of a 3-4 OLB.
Jer'Zhan Newton is another guy who will go really high. I think he can be an elite 3T.
