As long as he can make it back and be showcased before the trade deadline, the D'backs should be OK. With Valverde's cheese and Mantei's injury history and big paycheck next year, Mantei is expendable and should be traded if he can get healthy soon. IMHO, the D'backs should be able to get some good, power prospects for the outfield (at the corners) for him which would address a need for the future. No trade for a big name as infield appears to be set for future and D'backs want to save the money from Mantei's contract, not take on more salary.
