It's 3.40am here in Australia. I've just come back from a club and I'm wasted. I haven't weighed in on this topic yet. Just content to read everyone's POV. But I can't resist a good Groundhog Day reference.

"I'm a God, I'm not 'The' God, there's a difference."

God bless Bill Murray!

And for the record, don't trade Amare. He is the best thing to happen to Suns basketball since Barkley and I would hold a soft spot for any team that aquires him. But that being said, I've soured on trading Shawn aswell.

Think about it guys. We were two games away from a Finals berth and that was with a league ruling and a coach sitting Kurt in a a crucial part in the 3rd quarter of Game 6. Not to mention we had Game 5 all wrapped up with a ribbon.

But don't get me started on that...

I have faith in the front office.

GO SUNS!

My two cents: This trade DOES NOT happen without Amare, so go throw your whitey tighies in the wash to get the cream stains out and pray for a miracle. Otherwise, a front line of Nash, Garnett, and STAT aint happening.

Nash coming back is the best thing to happen to the Suns since Barkley, but I agree with the rest of it.

Oh well, I can live with that. We are not that far away anyway. Just some better bench help could be enough.

It may have been a crude way of saying it, but it is most likely (90% I would guess) true. We are getting worked up over something - a good thing, no doubt - with a very small chance of ever happening.

Chris Sheridan is the same guy that has been hearing we would trade Marion for a resigned Walton, Kwame Brown and a #19 pick..

I am 100% OK with any trade not happening for KG if it involves Amare. We just move on to the next best trade. I mean, it's about time to move on anyway. Let's go get Camby to play along side Amare.

I like

Nash
Bell
Diaw
Amare
Camby

much more then

Nash
Bell
Marion
Diaw
KG

Everybody is ASSUMING that Shawn Marion is the cause of all our chemistry issues. I have a sneaking suspicion that Amare might be the reason instead. Amare is my favorite player on the Suns, but his ego has grown by leaps and bounds, and I wonder if it is affecting the locker room.

This is neither necessary or welcome on this board. It isn't cool or funny or a way to "win" an internet debate.

I expect you to comport yourself as an adult on here or you can go play on the ESPN boards.

The chemistry issues on the Suns likely revolve around the coach/system as much as one player. Just listen how dissatisfied the bench brigade was at the end of the year.

The strange thing is that Marion accepted his role as a lesser player during the Spurs series (by the words of the coach and the player) and it was largely successful.

i don't think it's Shawn by himself - I think it's really Amare VERSUS Shawn/Raja - guys who think they don't need Amare because they almost got to the Finals two years ago, even though it was by way of extremely fortunate seeding issues versus Amare thinking he needs the ball, rather than having both of those guys jacking up shots.

Nash is smart enough to know that even with Amare's ginormous ego (which admittedly, is GINORMOUS), his talent and ability to do what he does on offense is just beyond words huge. I also think he's old enough to just look at Amare's brashness and brush it off with an older person's perspective of "kids will be kids". However, I think Nash does get a little irked with Marion and Diaw at times -especially in the last playoff serieswhere he talked about giving it their all after Marion and Diaw had supbar Game 1s against the Spurs.

The suns are just playing the waiting game.
We are 2nd place in leverage here.

Once marion gets on board and agrees to be moved, everything is autopilot from there.

The closer it gets to draft day the better the bargain will be for us.

To be honest, worst case scenario isnt even 'nothing happens.' I dont even see that on the table. Mchale will be forced to do someting before draft day. the more suspense that occurs on this the more closer the talks will become with agents, players, coaches etc

worst case scenario for ME is marion goes to boston, realizes it aint half bad, and we get garnett for the initial bos-phx trade rumor. ratliff/#5/filler(telfair, west, or gomes)

Wow. I assumed from the posts on the first few pages of this thread in which people talked about crapping and creaming pants and so on, that my post was not out of line. I guess you have be a veteran of the board to be held to different standards. So I apologize if I offended anyone.

Still, Amare isn't going anywhere, and thus KG isn't coming. It's all much ado about nothing. Once again, just my opinion.

what gives? It's been 12 hours since the last news cycle and there's no new info that will completely obliterate this thread and start another 300-poster? Bah-humbung! I'm going to the DMV and when I get back in 10 hours I expect there to be at least four brand new raging threads for George to complain about! :)

Yeah, i'm with you on needed some new news! I keeping thinking that maybe just maybe page 500 of either KG thread might be the next nugget that makes me keep coming back to this site and wasting my day away.

I just wish that extra threads meant something new. My biggest complaint is that it seems to be page after page of exactly the same statements.

So? It's not like the topic headings are fooling you, are they?

George, you need to quit while you are ahead, because you are sounding mighty hypocritical on this issue... :D

Not usually. Obviously I can simply ignre the trade threads entirely, which often I do. I don't bother even threading the 37th variation on the same trade proposal and just use my page down key a lot looking for articles.

My read on it is that most people are pretty sure the KG deal is not going to happen. The innumerable posts are all about delaying the inevitable disappointment that will come when the end is finally announced.
