KnowWhatImSaying?

I don't think I ever really knew what he was saying, but he was a fun player to watch the last 8 years. The high flying dunks, the steals, the blocks & rebounds will all be missed. The squirt shot, bad 3pt shooting, bad interviews & out of control shots will not be missed. He was one of the most fun players to watch in the NBA & also one of the most frustrating players at the same time. His overestimation of his own value & constant complaining about lack of respect will not be missed either, but I might take him back on the Suns in a few years for a much smaller contract.

Good luck to him unless we swap picks with Miami, hopefully he will cry less and be a shoe-in for the Eastern Conference allstar games now that he can't make it in the West anymore.

Although I must say that Marion had already worn out his welcome a few years ago in my opinion.

I wish him good luck in Miami. I will definitely watch more Heat games now. He is a fun player to watch and I wish him the best.

i appreciate all shawn's done for us. though i was always critical of what he couldn't do, i was always appreciative of what he could do. i have no doubt he'll go into the ring of honor. wish we could've gotten garnett for him.

I've always been a fan of Shawn on the court for the most part. I will be glad when he averages good stats on the Heat in order to dispel the rumors that he is a product of good point guards.

Sorry shawn - you did some amazing things while you were here but you were dead to me after the KG trade fiasco.

Great player. Unusual. No one like him. No plays run for him.

Sorry, I won't miss your 'tude.

Marion finished his Suns career among Phoenix’s all-time leaders in minutes played (2nd-12,134), three-point field goals made (2nd-652), three-point field goals attempted (2nd-1,905), rebounds (2nd-6,616), steals (2nd-1,245), field goals made (3rd-4,879), field goals attempted (3rd-10,136), blocked shots (3rd-894), points scored (4th-12,134) and games played (5th-660).

Wow....

Loved, loved, loved Shawn for so many years. He is a classic Sun through and through.

Do have to say the attitude got old in the last year...got tired of defending him. Learning he was fine with going to the worst team in the league is disappointing.

But overall, Marion rocks and will go down as one of the greatest Suns draft picks, and greatest Suns forwards of all time. I am sad he will not be here if (when!) the Suns win a title. He deserved it for all the hustle in 8+ years.

The Matrix indeed. Much respect and best wishes, Shawn!!

PS - fans better be classy when Shawn comes to town with the Heat or future teams. Standing O well deserved for a few years of visits.

I am going to miss his Roomstore commercials. "It's a slam dunk."

Seriously, his act wore thin the last few months and during the months of April and May, otherwise, he was a good guy. He kept his hands clean in his private life, and that is always appreciated as well. Good luck in Miami and your next stop.

I really dont see how anyone can be sad to see Marion go.. Dude f'ed us over .. He made a fuss all season about wanting to be traded, then he wouldnt go in the Garnett trade and now this.. Ah well .. Maybe its a blessing in disguise.. Shaq and Nash's contracts end at the same time so we can build around Amare then.. Chris Paul is on the menu once that happens..

shawn was my favorite sun from the get go. Nobody matched his tenacity on the court. I hope that one day we will see his name in the ring of honor.

I think Cinderella (the music group, not the Disney character) said it best when they sang "Don't Know What You Got... Till It's Gone". Those words are my view on Shawn Marion's impact as a Phoenix Sun and what he meant to this team and this community.

Often times, Marion's contributions as a point scorer and rebounder were taken for granted. I think we all began to expect more from him, especially in the playoffs, however what cannot be lost nor forgotten is what he did do during the regular season, which was be one of the most consistent players in the game. With Matrix, you KNEW you were getting 20-10 a night. You knew his defense, which continuously improved throughout his time here, was going to be solid. You knew that he was going to be good for one or two highlight reel dunks per game. You also knew that he was a good ambassador to this city and treated his fans very well.

I'm understanding the perspective of the Suns, this deal HAD to happen. However, that's not to say that I have the same adulation to see Marion go as some of you do.

Good luck wherever you wind up Matrix.. Your impact on this team and more importantly this city will not be forgotten. My only hope is that you wind up like Dan Majerle and eventually return to the team to end your career and eventually wind up in the Ring of Honor.. Lastly Shawn, and I say this for everyone who appreciated you and for those who didn't but should have.... Thank you Shawn Marion.

You guys are giving ASFN a bad rep. Classy fans that appreciate effort required to be a 4 time all star, are you kidding? Youre diluting out the whiners, complainers and frustrated wannabe NBA coaches.

Funny people still blaming him for KG when its pretty much been said now that Marion was NEVER involved in a KG deal. Geesh some people just don't get it. He busted his ass for the Suns for a long time and deserves to be in the ROH when he decides to hang it up. Thank You Marion!
