Is there any reason to believe Marion's unhappiness with being unappreciated is going to effect how he's going to play? Has anything actually changed over the past two years?

Some posts imply that Marion's unhappy and therefore should be traded. Wrong. You trade ONLY if you think the player isn't going to perform well or can get more value from the deal.

Grumpy does not necessarily mean unmotivated. Sometimes grumpy people feel a continuous need to prove themselves. They need to be grumpy to keep from relaxing too much. I'm inclined to think that applies to Marion.

Me thinks the Marion unhappiness is some intentional leak by people within the Suns organization to make it easier for the average Suns fans to swallow the news that Marion got traded. I'm glad if this is true.;)

If Marion is unhappy (and he probably is) it is not because of minutes, role, touches, or plays run for him.

There was an article about mid-way through the year that said that Marion's big gripe was that he was not getting the endorsement revenue he thinks he deserves. He seems to be jealous when his teammates get it (I would guess that its primarily the attention that Amare gets, not so much Steve). The attention Diaw is getting now must really bother him.

But Shawn has to realize that this is probably not going to change if he goes to any other team. The reason Shawn does not get endorsement love is Shawn's personality etc.

BTW. The Suns don't want Shawn to be a go-to player (bc he makes 16 million). They just want him to play as consistently in the playoffs as he does in the regular season. He was pretty close this year.

Not interested in trading Shawn. He is just going to have to adjust.

I guess the Room Source just isn't enough for him. LOL.
