I heard an interesting comment on Sanchez yesterday on ESPN radio. Lomas Brown was making the comment. He said one of the problems with Sanchez is his WRs get no separation so the window that he has to throw into is much smaller then a QB who has WRs that get separation.

In some ways this makes sense. If your WRs are not getting any separation your throws have to be on the money more often since there is a much smaller room for error. That was one of the things I didn't like about Floyd when I watched highlights of him. I hardly ever saw separation between him and the Dback.

The best quarterback scenario for the Cardinals is probably to renegotiate Kevin Kolb's deal to reduce the 2013 salary and add incentives. Then draft Nassif or another prospect in the SECOND round and, depending on how he fares the rest of the year, keep Ryan Lindley as the third quarterback. I just don't see a future for John Skelton in Arizona whether Whis goes or stays.

I'm not opposed to bringing in a veteran like Sanchez or Alex Smith, but I'm not willing to give up a draft choice for them. Both already have very high salaries for next season which you inherit with a trade.

I'll definitely go along with this. My biggest complaint about our WRs or the routes that are called is that our guys seldom get any separation. Sure maybe one of the 3,4,5 receivers on any given play might get clear but with our pass protection the one moderately accurate QB we had didn't usually have time to find that one. I get my opinion on this from watching the coaches film as well as the regular games.

I see the scenario where they just release Sanchez because he salary/value make him impossible to deal.

I would be down for us keeping Kolb if, as you say, he takes a reduced contract. I also want him penciled in as a backup; we should NOT count on him to start. He struggles too much seeing the field and seems to still get caught up in the rush too much. That's aside from his obvious fragility.

No to Sanchez, Tebow, Vick, Smith. I do not see Smith as a huge upgrade over Kolb at all, other than he can stay healthy but it just loads the roster with more average players at the most important position. If we trade for a QB, roll the dice with some possible upside in Rivers or Romo (though I do not see the Cowboys letting him go due to a lack of anything better on the market). I'm not a huge Freeman fan but I would take him over Smith any day.

Did they explain the problems he has with running into his own guys?

A release will cost some 17M against the cap, if I remember reading correctly. Thought they could spread the bonus out over 2 years, but having 8.5M for years tied up in a player no longer on the roster, well, thats not good. Hes 8.somethingM next year in salary, and any team trading for him, would make NY cover most of that. They'd be better off firing Ryan, and trying to find a coach like Harbaugh who can get more out of a flawed QB who is owed a shizton of money.

Question about Freeman. Can anyone explain how he can have an Arizona Cardinalesque completion % of 54.8 while throwing for 25 TDs and only 12 interceptions?
