The Denver Broncos are still looking for a punter and Marquette King has indicated on social media that he is open to returning to his old NFL team.

"Im in a way different head space at this point in my life and would be glad to make a return to the Broncos organization and rewrite a new experience after my season in the UFL if they’re open to it," King tweeted on Monday.

King, 36, signed with the Broncos in 2018 but was released with an injury settlement mid-way through the season. He went on to spend time in the XFL with the St. Louis BattleHawks in 2020 before later joining the Arlington Renegades (now of the UFL) in 2023.

UFL players are allowed to sign with NFL clubs after the spring season concludes and King is open to a reunion with his former team.

This is not the first time King has thrown his name into the mix for Denver's punting duties. After the team parted ways with former special teams coordinator Tom McMahon in 2022, King tweeted: "Now that mcmahon is gone I’m down to pick up where we left off. Tell them to Call my agent."

King led the NFL in punt yards in 2014 and he received second-team All-Pro recognition in 2016. More recently, he won an XFL title in 2023 and made the All-UFL Team in 2024.
