That Haggans call was pretty bad too!
It was like a slap on the face. Literally?
I mean it was a slight slap and the refs called unneccessary roughness!
Pretty soon it will be like the "other" football game where one can't use your hands anymore.

My comment to my wife was, "Well not only do they have QB's in skirts but now high heels and a tiara."

Thing is I doubt much of anything is said to the officials. They would rather have them be over protective then let an illegal hit go uncalled.

You mean like this?

Honestly I was getting worried too because when I came home and watched the game on DVR, the announcers were saying; "Yeah that's the right call the rules were adjusted this year."

That's because Sam Rosen is a hack of an NFL announcer. He should stick to hockey, where his idiotic comments can be ignored like the rest of the NHL.

It was a BS call, and he should have identified it as such. Pennington didn't say one word about it, I suspect as he didn't want to rock the boat and lose his new gig.

Go Cards!!!

what blows me away is that there is not a ref upstairs with a replay monitor who simply reviews all calls like that within 2 seconds and raidos it in to the main ref on the field. It wouldnt take long, wouldnt slow the game and would be very useful to judgement calls like roughing the passer.

bad calls happen and I understand that but to negate a huge play and change the other game with one call is stupid.

OT: There was another point in the game when the crowd was pretty raucous during a Carolina possession. After Carolina had scored and the Cardinals were on offense, Rosen stated something along the line of, "Well, they certainly have quieted the crowd."

I was thinking, of course the crowd is quieter, the Cardinals (home team) have the ball!" Idiot.

What I want to know is how these calls will be avoided in the future. Will the refs be given more training? Will this crew be reprimanded or at least coached up? It is all well and good that the NFL admitted a mistake, but when those mistakes so significantly impact the game, better quality control must be instituted.

I predict this won't be the last time this type of call screws someone, and I bet it costs at least one team a victory. All the after-the-fact admissions still don't change the record books.

We were lucky to overcome the refs in our game.

Seriously, he needs to watch the Ram Rules video. It's Ram Rule #1!

Yep. Fortunetly it didn't change the outcome. I doubt the NFL admits to the mistake if the Cardinals lost the game.

Absolutely they would not have admitted to that IMO.

I've met your wife. She didn't use to look like that. I'm sorry for your loss.

I've seen his wife she looked like Rugby Muffin.

BTW for those of you who have seen them both, are Rugby Muffin and Stout brothers?

Like the Warner fumble ruling on the last play of the Superbowl, Ref upstairs said it was a fumble not an incomplete pass, no need to review. BS........
