The Los Angeles Rams made a big change on offense this offseason when they signed Davante Adams to a two-year deal and cut Cooper Kupp after eight seasons. Adams joins the Rams after spending last season with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets, and he couldn’t be more excited about signing with a contender capable of winning it all.

Matthew Stafford seems thrilled to have Adams on his side now, too.

Stafford spoke to Gary Klein of the L.A. Times on Sunday after the Rams Football Academy Girls Flag Spring Classic in Woodland Hills, commenting on Los Angeles’ addition of Adams for the first time.

“I have a ton of respect for him, the way he goes about his business and the way he plays the game,” Stafford said. “He’s been a big-time in this league for a long time, so happy to have him. I know he’s going to be a big addition to our team.”

Adams and Stafford were on opposite sides in the NFC North when they were with the Packers and Lions, respectively. Adams has always respected Stafford from afar and emphasized the importance of having a quarterback like him throwing the ball, saying it was one of the main factors in free agency.

With Adams teaming up alongside Puka Nacua at wide receiver, Stafford shouldn’t have much trouble finding open targets in 2025. It’s one of the best wideout tandems in the NFL on paper and could yield terrific results for the Rams next season.
