In his first game with the Suns, Paul gave the Suns 8 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. For starters, I will take it.

Those are numbers I expect from Cam Payne, not Chris Paul, particularly when it goes with 3 turnovers and 3 for 9 shooting.

Cmon. How about more than one game before these types of extreme generalizations. That’s where you lose credibility. You WAAAAAAAAAY overstate your case. It’s like when you say that Jalen has NO LOWER BODY STRength. You make him sound like he is in a wheel chair. Yes, he looks like he skips leg day, but cmon.

Including preseason, it's now been 5 games, and Paul has shown no sign - none - of anything other than his final, steep decline. Any sign at all of the Chris Paul from last season, and I would be taking a time will tell approach. But from day one, the Chris Paul we have seen in a Suns uniform might as well be 50 years old.

As for Smith, my lower body strength comments are meant to be relative to the lower body strength needed to succeed in an NBA front court. The fact is that while I like Smith as a long term prospect, he will not be able to contribute anything of significance regularly unless and until he developed his lower bodu.

I want Paul to steer the Suns through the season, make the playoffs and then be a force in the playoffs. It's all about completing the journey for me. The Suns have some depth. Hopefully that will help them win some games they normally wouldn't.

We can bury him in the plot next to Saric unless we've already shipped Dario's corpse back to Croatia.
