Amare's defense has never been good, but this year, its been just horrible. He, and the team in general has regressed horrible on the interior defense.

I really don't get what is going on with Amare. His defense is BEYOND horrible. It doesn't even look like he's trying a lot of the time. I hate to say it, but if we get our asses handed to us tonight and against the Lakers, it might be the last we see of him. Could be a good thing or a bad thing, but something just doesn't look right with him at all, whether that's physical, mental or attitude.

I was a staunch critic of trading Amare for KG, but jeez it looks like that would have been a steal at this point. At least KG works his ass off on both sides of the court. What the hell has happened to Amare? 8.4 rebounds a game? Horrific defense? Ridiculously stupid fouls?

This is pathetic...down 37-20 at the end of 1st of the 1st. The Mavs are shooting 52% and have 7 offensive rebounds. Meanwhile we're shooting only 44% and have 6 turnovers.

I was just thinking the same exact thing. Due to Amare's knees, the age difference may not matter.
