I think we'll be ok against Dallas this year.
Their depth is a concern(as well as having a member of the *ALL-SUNS KILLER TEAM on the bench as an assistant coach)

Yeah, but they've also got Paul Westphal, so it's a wash....

Good game.
Both teams played hard.
I don't like to cry about officiating but...the flops were brutal tonight.
Where has that Nash/Stat pick n roll been?
I thought the SUNS were focused on solid team defense for 2 full quarters also.(Stackhouse in the paint out to Dirk Diggler for 3 was the dagger IMO)
Diaw shot poorly but was aggressive in taking shots at least.
One thing though,Late in the 4th, having Skinner in for a struggling Barbs would have been my choice. Nash & Stat started workin it but we were giving up to many offensive boards on the other end. I realize the spacing is better w/Barbs in there to allow the 2-man game to work but when your playing catch up i'd prefer to go a little bigger to control the glass.
The whole "tip-drill" rebounding thing we do is weak. I understand the theory of it being that we're under-sized.
My favorite play tonight was Stoudemire's block underneath followed by ripping the rebound away from i think it was Josh Howard. That $h!t fires me up!
It got Stat fired up too.

I agree with the depth......that's one of the things the mavs have to exploit every time they play phoenix.....if they are to win. Not that nash and the starters are going to tire out, but the mavs need to outplay them while nash in paticular is on the bench. they did that tonight.

that play amare on howard could of been a foul, but it was good on amare. that's the way he should play 10 out of 10 times in that circumstance. amare also had a key flopp that helped get the suns the ball back in that final 2 mins. I give him credit.....if the refs are going to reward guys for it you might as well do it. devin harris is the best defensive flopper in the game IMO.

Raja seems very prone to those kind of injuries. I know a guy that plays pick-up games with us at the local gym that injures an ankle every time he plays.
Once you severly sprain an ankle it is ridiculously more prone to being resprained.

I guess you can count mine. I dislocated my ankle about 12 weeks ago in a league basketball game. I had a nice 90 degree separation. Orthopedic surgeon told me that I would have to do extra work on the ankle to maintain a normal level of strength because the ankle would never be as strong on it's own.

I know I will where an ankle brace for as long as I continue to play ball.

i was reading the recap of the game on nba.com,

Nash had a cut on his chin on the 4th quarter that required 8 stitches?
wow.

1st the nose,
2nd the tooth,

He is a fighter. But, that also makes you worry sometimes. I just wish everyone else would play with the same passion and fire that Nash plays with.

he's tough.

it's ok to received minor injuries.

leave the major ones to other teams players.
:)
yeah he's a warrior. I once saw him take one of malone's famous elbows right to the grill. it looked aweful, but it didn't phase him. I think it hurt me worse watching it.

Whenever Nash hits the ground, everyone holds their breath and is like "Is he ok?" The guy is a true warrior and shows it every night. It should be rubbing off on the other players.

It looks to me like Grant Hill has decided that he's just going to relax when he's hit or bumped and take a fall then roll with it. As long as you do it that way falls are not very dangerous - much less so than trying to prevent yourself from falling.
