Ok, that would be more scoring, but everyone ignores me when I say we would still have a problem with rebounding and shot blocking! We need good big men as much as we do scorers. :(

Geez, what happened to "let Lampe play?"

compare Marion's numbers to other small forwards, then compare JJ's numbers to other 2 guards or point guards inthe league. Marion is a top small forward, so we would essentially make ourselves weaker at that spot unless you get someone like Kevin Garnette! :D

Then again, you list Jake as a "keep" but Voskuhl as a "Get them out of here"--you really need to take more than 3 1/2 seconds to actually think about what you are writing.

Jake is not on my list as a "keep" in fact I even wrote that I like Harvey better--you really need to take more than 3 1/2 seconds to actually think about what you are writing.

I have already complained about Jake before it is not like I change my opinion on him.
I said several times before that he is nothing else but the Suns' version of Mark Madsen.

We will only have the magic lamp and jake back if we deal white. I think we need more big guys in the off season! I don't feel comfortable with just those two. ;)

JJ can at least create shots for himself and teammates and is cheaper than Marion.

Shawn Marion almost exclusively relies on others to create for him. If not he is not effective offensively.

His playoff numbers are a perfect proof for that.

Nice, and now that I can't refer to your post because you edited it since I pointed out yet another of your descrepancies. Good one.

Chaplin is in "a-hole" mode again. (Keep it clean for the kids :) - Joe Mama)

Please go back and take a close look. I never edited the post.

Of course. You did a great job pointing out other's decrepancies that aren't there. Look at yourself now.

Shawn Marion's gaudy numbers do not make him a great player. His jump shot is gone, and every season he becomes more and more undersized at small forward.

It just drives me crazy how overly aggressive this team is on the perimeter. It would be better off attacking the middle and giving opponents, even the Mavericks, wide-open three-point shots. Instead they jump into the crowd every time some opponents shows them the ball around the three-point line.

Cabarkapa and Lampe just stink right now. Barbosa has a nice game every here and there, but overall he is not playing well anymore. We want one of the top draft picks, but this team needs to show something if a guy like Kobe Bryant is expected to sign here.

Well play defense on Duncan for a whole game and see how well you play offense. Also, rebounding is a premium for us, why get rid of one of the top small forward rebounders in the NBA? Plus he is one of the top steals and defenders in the league. We are set with Marion and Zarko at Small forward. We need a good 2 guard if JJ plays point, so plug in Kobe or Tmac there, Amare at PF, and Lampe or whoever at center next year. :D

I also don't think that anyone should give Shawn Marion a break just because he gets a few treys in a row. Frankly, I'm sick of him taking him. If he's taking them, he's not inside. He's already a great rebounder, but how much better could he be if he went inside more?

I don't know the numbers, but I'm assuming that Marion is really a horrible offensive rebounder, that most of his rebounds come on the defensive end, probably by a huge margin. Anyone can confirm?

That's because I'm not wrong. When I was posting my reply, the word "Jake" was between Harvey and Vujanic. After I pressed Reply, it wasn't.

It doesn't matter now anyway--just waiting for you to continue on your rollercoaster of emotions that make no sense. Keep it up man, I need a laugh.

Can you find this ANYWHERE in my post about keepers and guys that should be traded?

NO you can't because I NEVER edited that post.

You even quoted my post and commented on it, a comment that made absolutely no sense because you obviously didn't think about what you are going to post which is what you advised me to do.

Man I feel like talking to a child now.

Man I feel like talking to a child now.

Then don't reply. Fairly simple concept. You finally get called out for the idiocy you post day-in and day-out and you can't handle it. Who's the child? I told you what happened with that post--perhaps it was a bug in the system, but I know what I read.

Your diatribes provide no logical reasons. It's all based on heat of the moment crap. If JJ shot 1-16 tonight, you'd be calling for him to be gone--but if he shoots 5-9 tomorrow, then he's definitely a keeper.

To top it off, you have no CONCEPT of reality! We need to get rid of Marion. Yeah right. With the way he's playing, WHO is going to want to trade for him? Orlando wouldn't, that's for sure. The best we'd get for him is Jamal Crawford and a 2nd rounder from Chicago. That may be exaggerating, but not by much. Marion for Pierce? Marion for Tmac? You must be smoking crack.

You want to trade most of the team, but like always you have absolutely no clue about the state of the NBA and the point-of-view of other teams. At all!

I would have guessed the same, but he is averaging 9.4 rebounds per game and 2.7 offensive rebounds per game. He is 15th in the NBA in total rebounds per game and 19th in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game.

That's pretty unbelievable, considering how many 3s he takes. I wonder how much of his scoring numbers are the beneficiaries of offensive putbacks. His shooting has been horrible, so by those stats, Joe, I would guess that a majority of his scoring must come from putbacks.

I don't know, those numbers make him out to be a solid inside-outside player--but from what I understand, he doesn't play like that.

Oh please.... I have probably been the biggest JJ supporter on this entire board at all times.

I am getting called out for idiocy by an idiot who can't read and calls me out for things that I didn't post.

I wish I could be like Chaplin.

And this is pretty cheap for someone who always sits in his corner and calls out trade proposals but has never offered a realistic trade himself.

Even funnier is that most people think that we or the Suns would be giving up too much if we offer Marion, Johnson and our pick for TMac.

Of course that doesn't matter. Your post smells like a steaming pile........

Oh, I'll bet that close to 2 of those 2.7 offensive rebounds per game are from quick but backs on his own missed shots close to the basket. I wonder how many of any player's offensive rebounds are from putting his own missed shots into the basket though.

Before this season Shawn Marion was a very good midrange shooter. As last year went on he got better and better at hitting the outside shots as well. This season he shot is just missing, and it's really hurt the Phoenix Suns.

Personally, I think the absence of Shawn Marion's shot (and aggressiveness) is really the #1 reason we have done so poorly this season (outside of the obvious injury issues). I really like Marion and the type of player he is--or now should I say was, because he doesn't play like he used to anymore. I'm not sure why--and I'm certainly not sure why the coaches don't seem to be seeing the same thing we are.

I agree. Now before someone comes in here and posts a bunch of statistics to show that Shawn Marion is only missing one or two shots per game this season I'll say that this goes beyond statistics. When Shawn Marion and others are not a threat to shoot from outside opposing defenses collapsed into the middle.

JJ is also an inconsistent midrange and outside shooter, but he was even worse last year. If anything is shooting has improved this season... at least since the Marbury trade. It's Shawn Marion's poor shooting that has been the difference.

Of course there are many other factors. Injuries played a huge role in this team's struggles.
