I was at the Redskin game on Thursday and loved the way Hall ran the offense. I'm a senior citizen and have seen lots of football. Hall reminds me of a young Fran Tarkenton. Not big, decent arm, excellent touch and scrambles a lot in and out of the pocket to get first downs and beat the sacks.
Fran was also a tough player and a leader. Would love to see a similar career.
Just my two cents.

He reminds me of a rookie that played well against a bunch of scrubs who weren't game planning to stop him. I pray he don't see the field this season and ideally till 2012 at the earliest.

I'll add to your 2 cents, my friend...

and make it 4. Tarkenton was a nightmare for defensive lineman. Heck of a leader on the field. Hall has ALOT of potential. GO CARDS! :)

I'll agree 100%. He wasn't very big, but he sure was mighty. If Hall is anywhere near as capable, I see SB's in the Cards future.

If DA doesn't have it and we start 2-3 I would like to see Hall get some game time so he can have a look at 1st string Defenses. Our season is most likely over with with a bad start anyway. He has played alot of meaningful Football and won alot of games. I would hope that it translates because if nothing else he has moxie and looks like he loves the Qb position and the game. I can still see bringing in a vet to back up DA. We have always said we need two capable Qb in this league so who knows.

Wow. Was thinking the exact same thing watching the game against the Skins. Looks and plays like him. Not a senior but I saw Fran T play alot when I was a kid. Couldn't sack the SOB.

Wow! Nice comparison az jam. I loved watching Tarkenton. I don't know how many games I've watched over the years saying, "Tarkenton would just dink it in there." Meaning score TDs with a short pass.

You may be on to something here because they ARE a lot alike.

I agree 100%, but the kid does throw a nice ball.

I'd mock the early comparison, but then, I told my wife that a certain Rams backup reminded me a hell of a lot of Dan Fouts when he got his first extended preseason playing time in '99. So sometimes it works out.

He reminds me a bit of Drew Brees.

Yes , he was going against second string and a vanilla scheme, but he moved well in the pocket, throws a nice catchable ball and is accurate. I don't care who's on the field, if the receiver is open and your QB hits him in the numbers, that says something.

Tarkenton would have a hard time surviving today. Today's defensive players are too big and too fast.

More Like Drew Breez...!!! Fran couldn't throw a spiral if his life depended on it;
but boy could he ever scramble...!!!

Max reminds me of someone a little below the others mentioned in this thread. I thought he looked a bit like Rich Gannon. Don't know why.
