Its all about the Warriors my friend!
And how many Westwood QB's have played in the NFL?

Max Hall makes the 3rd for the Toros. Also have Todd Heap playing at TE for the Ravens. I'd also brag about MLB All-Star Shea Hillenbrand too, but he's kind of an ass.

My sister went to Westwood though, so I'll be easy on you, it's not your fault.

He would have gone to Mountain View, except that it wasn't built yet. His Dad Whizzer went to Mesa High, back when it was the only school in town.

I spent a couple hours in the car today contemplating this whole thing, how it has gone down, etc. I was thinking about some of the QB's who have had success in the last 10-15 years or so, and I really am starting to believe Max may just be "it" for us.

The closest comparison is still Dew Brees, who was a second round pick with very similar size and style to Max. Even with success Brees was dumped for Rivers by the Chargers, and size again was a concern. But who is laughing now. If Brees had played for a Non-AQ conference team, he very likely would have been left undrafted or drafted late. Yet, he played for Purdue, in the Big 10, and received a LOT of attention. Imagine if he had played for BYU, would he have ended up in the same situation as Hall, who is the winningest QB of all time at BYU?

I don't know, I hate to get my hopes up only to see them hit the side of a barn door like an errant pass from DA, but I am a believer at this point. The proof will be in the pudding at seattle, when Maximus has Breaston and Doucet back at his disposal.

The other thing to remember, is that aside from Matt Ryan, every qb who has faced NO this years has had much less than stellar showings (especially favre). So Hall's performance, as an undrafted rookie, is right up to par with the rest of those guys.

However, other teams have had much more success running the football vs the Saints. The Cards continual struggles with the ground game are still cause for concern especially when they continue year after year to go 3 and out when ahead in the 4th quarter.

Agreed. I would hope that when we have our passing weapons back, and a QB in a rhythm (DA has yet to find a rhythm for more than 3 mins at a time) that the pass should open things up for the run.

Theoretically speaking of course.

Well one of the great Cardinal football questions of our time is how they could have such dynamic passing offenses and still not be able to run the football.

In 2005 the Cards threw for 4,750 yards yet finished dead last in rushing. In 2008 it wasn't until the playoffs that the Cards were able manage anything resembling an effective run game even with one of the most prolific passing attacks ever.

Same for 2009 when the Cards had an established reputation as a premier passing offense with a future HOF QB and two pro bowl WRs they still couldn't run the ball effectively.

We need to get Robert Langdon to look into it.
