Max Number on Roster?

The Cards have 84 players on the current active roster. If I am not mistaken, that is the max, correct? So, if we sign a few free agents, who goes?

The max is 84, but the Cardinals have 83. They released Phillip Doolin.

I thought the limit is 80 but they get three roster exemptions for the guys over in Europe.

i guess if there roster is close to being maxed out you can not blame them for having so much money left over, i could understand if they only had 60 or so on the roster with all that money, then there wold be reason to complain
