My grandfather is from a tiny northern town right on the mediteranean roughly 25 miles or so south of Portofino - it's called Chiavari. It's in the Cinque Terra region, just west and bordering Tuscany... It's one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!
My mom's parents were from southern Italy, just outside Naples (Napoli). I have been all over Italy and enjoy the north much more than the south. In fact, I will probably never go back to any place south of Rome. There's just too much to see, do, eat & drink in the north!!!!
Did your grandparents come to American first, or straight to AUS??

Nah they both came straight to Australia. Even though they didnt meet each other until they were here.
Everyone talks about the North as being beautiful. I myself have never been yet, planning to go in 2009 for the MotoGP. All my grandparents are from Tocco, Abruzzo.
They do often say that they were given the option to move to either America/Australia or Argentina. And while most of there family went to America and Argentina, they decided on Australia.

That's funny... My grandfathers brother went to Argentina...
Yes - the north is stunning... Blows away the south in my opinion! Better food! Much better wine! And the women?? Well, if you're a sucker for dirty blondes with hazel/green eyes - oh boy!!!!

If there was ever a fight worth plunking down the $50 for to watch in the comfort of your own home, it's this one...

It's Cinco de Drinko. I will be out all day after doing the Relay for Life at night.

Good point... Cinco de Drinko is one of my favs...

LOL! Never heard it called Cinco de Drinko.

I got invited to a fight party out in West Phoenix somewhere. I really want to make it, but driving out there may not be an option.

Driving long distances on 5/5th is never, ever advisable... :nono:

Driving after drinking is never advisable.

Heck, I might just pay for this one myself. Wouldn't be the first time I paid out a bunch of money to make sure I didn't miss a fight.

50 Cent Makes Million Dollar Bet.... Rapper 50 Cent has promised to give $1 million (£500,000) to his boxer friend Floyd Mayweather if he wins the Wbc super welterweight championship next month.(-5May07).

The G-Unit star - who will perform new single Straight To The Bank for the first time at the match - will be cheering his friend on from the ringside.

He tells AllHipHop.com, "It will be great to walk Floyd to the ring for the biggest fight of his career."

If this fight happened 4-5 years ago Floyd would have his teeth handed to him. Floyd has never fought at this high of a weight.

It will either be an easy decision for Mayweather or a KO for Oscar.

I hope Oscar knocks this punk out.

Broke down and ordered the fight on PPV since driving 40 minutes away was not an option.

GREAT FIGHT, Suprised that it wasn't unanimous....but was expecting that judge to score it a draw.

I find Mayweather inspirational. Mayweather makes me want to work out and get in the ring so I can kick his *** myself. If this clown is going to represent what a champion should be, I'm going to stop watching boxing and instead follow the WWE.
Funny, that even though De La Hoya lost the match, I find myself respecting him more for taking the loss like a man and then still finding enough strength to be eloquent in the interviews immediately after the fight.
Also, I'm sure lots of people are going to disagree with me but i think the fight should have been a draw. Mayweather may have landed more punches, but not enough to merit a clear victory. He also proved to me that he's not as great as what all these sports nerds on talk radio make him out to be.
