Unless Manning falls to us, Roy Williams will be our pick. Bank on it. "High Performance" folks. No one falls into that category more than Roy Williams. And his marquee value is surpassed only by Manning.

IMO, he's the kind of player Green was talking about adding.

I think he meant Sean Taylor and he may even trade DOWN to get him!

Thats been said about many RBs.

Its a position with very high bust potential!

No doubt, and it's also a position that can be added later in the draft.

Another guy that is on my radar as far as RBs go, is Cedric Cobbs from Arkansas. 6'1 230 with 4.4 speed, but a history of injuries. When he has been healthy, he has been dynamite in a tough conference.

He'll probably be available on the second day of the draft, and could be a homerun type of player. He's a lot like Deuce McAllister, with much less fanfare.

Roy Williams would be a real interesting pick. His only real question mark IMO is injuries. Other than that, he should be a pretty good pro receiver.

Taylor

Haven't heard Dennys assessment of Taylor....he did say Big Ben and Eli were pro bowl caliber players.

I can see Green drafting Cobbs from Arkansas at RB in the middle rounds.....Denny likes fast running backs like Smith from Ohio State and Bennet currently on the Viqueens roster.

Green did say that Manning and Ben would probably be pro bowl players, and they probably will. I don't think it was necessarily an endorsement that we would draft them. That having been said, I do think he wants Manning, for among other obvious reasons, his marquee value. That's of much import to Denny.

And I would agree.

I was excited about Emmitt Smith coming here until I witnessed his performance.

With that said I understand Emmitts marquee value but more importantly his leadership qualities. He will be a great infleunce next year on the team....he was very positive this year....and considering we sucked and he was injured that's saying something.

Eli has that leadership intangible......the few rebel games I saw this year it was evident.....I remember on more than one occasion seeing him speaking to offensive lineman one-on-one without coaches.
