In addition to being an absolutely incredible movie(s), bring your kleenex....

Most, if not all, of our heroes will be killed. 'T'will be interesting to see where the MU goes after this

okay... just watched it on my computer. that looks sick... like the biggest damn blockbuster of all time sick.

I mean... it's a build-up of 22 freaking movies (most of them very good, with a some all-time classics) with pretty much ALL the biggest movie stars in the world.

It's amazing what they have accomplished and the quality gap between these movies overall and the DC counterparts. What they accomplished was pretty amazing IMO.

I plan on seeing much carnage and death of some of these characters we love. However, I also think there will be some of our favorites left over to hand over the reigns to create some sort of transition as these actors move on.

This truly will be viewed as the renaissance of comic book movies and a blueprint for connected properties. When I think of the first Iron Man movie and look back? It's been one hell of a ride.

I might be speaking in hyperbole here but I really think that this whole build up leading to this movie is going to be taught in film school for the foreseeable future.

******* that sentence makes me sad.

I like comic book movies A LOT, but there is no doubt in my mind that they've pretty much destroyed original cinema. In the foreseeable future that is ALL we'll see in the theaters and that is a crime for cinefiles.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD EPICNESS

I got chills... and man, that Avengers theme song has really grown on me.

Not as iconic as Supes, Elfman Bat and TDK Bat, but has a real nice EVERYONES IN IT TOGETHER swell to it.

:thud:

This is going to be a two-parter, isn't it?

From what I understand only loosely. The next one will be picking up the pieces and moving on type scenario from what I read. My guess it will be the vehicle for passing the torch to some new characters.

Cap taking on Thanos solo in that trailer does not bode well for him imo.

But it's something Cap would totally do.

In the comics, Cap does face Thanos mano a mano and he delivers this short speech: "“As long as one man stands against you, Thanos, you’ll never be able to claim victory...I’ve lived my life by those sentiments...They’re well worth dying for.”

Oh not disputing that a bit. Just saying...it's an "oh uh" moment in the movie IMO. People who have not read the comics or are just fans would probably feel more comfortable with Hulk or Thor.

Hell.... Thor couldn't even whip Hela. How would he whip Thanos?

Rumors are swirling that some of the main characters are going to bite the dust in this movie to make way for the next generation. I think the two most likely, based on the trailers and contract statuses, are Cap and Iron Man. Im purely speculating on this.

Or Hulk/Banner as one since he wants to die and could sacrifice himself. Cap and Iron make sense, but might be way too obvious as the two original movies long with Thor. I do think it will be one of them for sure, with Iron Man being the one since there are rumors they want to reboot that serious with a female. I'd love to see another Captain America movie with this Captain, but that is just wishful thinking.

I don’t think any of them could. The point being if you had to pick one Avenger to try I don’t think that Cap is on the top of your list.

There is a reason in the comics it takes the Avengers working together to take him down.

I just know they are going to kill Cap, and I hate it. He was always my favorite in the comics and the movies, just above the Hulk.

I really hope its Tony. Hes had his run and his act is a little tired and Cap is easily the strongest character amongst the bunch... which sadly might be why he bites the bullet because I.T would be the most impactful.

But, theyve also been playing a long game with Banner not wanting to be who he is, so maybe they make him the sacrifice while not killing the two golden geese of the franchise.
