Killmonger did claim he wanted to arm all black people around the world with the Wakandan tech. T'Challa thought Killmonger was misguided in this vision.

White people are not favored in this film (not that they should be) as even the good guys refer to white people as "colonizers" and told them to essentially ****. The question is, can a white person put themselves in someone else's shoes for a moment.

Since I haven't seen it I would like your opinions on this. One of my FB friends posted this comment on the movie ''Saw Black Panther yesterday. Special effects and focus on strong women was great. The ENORMOUS overtones how all white people deserve to die makes this the first MARVEL movie I can't recommend and will not buy.'' I responded that he must have read more into it than should be. His response was Killmonger wanted to kill everyone that wasn't black & said so in the movie. Thoughts?

I mean no disrespect to your friend but he completely misread this movie.

There are so many levels to this movie that even the most ardent marvel fan or movie buff will never be able to fully grasp.

I am confident there is a ton I missed, but my soul is fulfilled.

Yes there could be an argument made that the cgi was lacking in spurts (I don’t think it made a lick of difference) but beautiful movie.

I felt Michael B Jordan’s character more than Boseman, but I think thats just because I can more easily identify with the callousness, yet depth of his character more so than Bosemans’ at this point in my life.

My mother said she thought he was a better black panther. Lol. I don’t disagree.

After saying that I personally believe they can put this in a time capsule.

I cried (multiple times) in a theater for the first time in my life.

I laughed when no one else did.

I mean this in the most respectful way possible...it’s a black thing and (some of) you won’t understand.

What parts did you cry over?

I cried over the part when BP went to visit his father the first time. It was his reconciliation with not being able to save his father from an untimely death. His fear of being unprepared to be without his father as he faces new challenges of being King.

I also got emotional when they first talked about Kill Monger and how he went to see his father.

I really lost in when he made the bondage comment. It was such a subtle statement that had such a deep meaning to it.

That one line had more depth in it than every line of dialogue in every other comic book movie combined.

If that wasn’t a “speaking your truth” moment for Coogler, I don’t know what is.

Still want to see this again.

Okay I loved the movie. But a part of me cringes over this black panther. They really kind of totally recreated him. I’m okay with all of it. But he’s really not the comic book black panther. And with all the technology wakanda possesses, why not make the suit even more powerful? I mean he’s already almost iron man. Their tech should be capable of making a suit superior to iron man.

That is material for the next few movies. As he grows into the role of King and BP, the advances in confidence and or course tech will enhance his abilities.

I agree with you, except that Wakanda ALREADY appears to have technology far advanced from even what Tony Stark is doing. So, by any measure, the BP suit should already be more advanced that Iron Man's suit, just by virtue of being more advanced at that time. I mean, think about it. Just how much more improving does the tech in Wakanda need to go through?

Well he has to be vulnerable in some form or fashion.
