So not shocked. It could be Disney's new budget balancing per year but I doubt it. This has been plagued it sounds like with per-production issues.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
This is Disney we’re talking about though. Inferior products is what they do. They have run Star Wars and the MCU into the ground recently.Better to delay then put out an inferior product.
I guess.
Huh? Those are both multi-billion dollar franchises under Disney. The MCU run was one of the most successful runs in movie history. No franchise maintains constant success. Also, don’t think Disney is upset with Inside Out 2 either. This is Disney we’re talking about though. Inferior products is what they do. They have run Star Wars and the MCU into the ground recently.
Blade is an interesting one. The first two Blade movies are nearly perfect. I don’t know what a remake would change or update and I don’t know how they could make them better.
1 good movie since Endgame, which was released over 5 years ago now. MCU shows have been shovelware.Huh? Those are both multi-billion dollar franchises under Disney. Andor was quite good.1 good movie since Endgame, which was released over 5 years ago now. MCU shows have been shovelware.
Star Wars has been an absolute train wreck since Disney took over with the exception of Rogue One and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. The most recent SW show is lore-breaking at best and has absolutely terrible writing that doesn’t even make sense.
As I stated, these are not 5 year franchises. These are generational franchises now. You can't expect them not to have ups and downs. Andor was good. Mando has been a huge hit. Ashoka was a hit. Inside out 2 is now the most successful animated movie of all time.1 good movie since Endgame, which was released over 5 years ago now. MCU shows have been shovelware.

And the Pirates of the Caribbean ride has been awesome for 57 years now, so they do some stuff right...As I stated, these are not 5 year franchises. These are generational franchises now. I mean people love to pounce on Disney while ignore the stuff that is working.
These franchises have made BILLIONS. Yes somehow Disney ran them into the ground?! Huh? The original Superman franchise whimpered. The original Batman franchise whimpered. Matrix? Whimpered. Bond franchise has had MANY ups and downs. This literally has happened to almost every franchise. And the Pirates of the Caribbean ride has been awesome for 57 years now, so they do some stuff right...
I will say the MCU has basically trended down with very few ups. It'll take a lot of upcoming movies to hit to make me more than a cherry picker viewer now.As I stated, these are not 5 year franchises. These are generational franchises now. You're focusing on the past tense, the MCU's glory days. We are very, very far from the MCU's glory days. Basically there's been no cohesion and a lot of crap since Endgame.
Star Wars has been a mixed bag for sure. MCU is the most successful hero franchise OF ALL TIME. I wish DC had the run that MCU has had. I never expected these runs to last forever. I just hope they can revamp and revitalize.
Hence while they hired the Russos back. Say what you will about their recent output, their last Marvel film was the last great film in the entire franchise. Disney's trying at least. They could just continue to put out mediocre content. Could be worse -- they could be DC.I will say the MCU has basically trended down with very few ups. Getting the Russo brothers back is a big win IMO. It's just unrealistic for every movie and TV show to hit and to sustain that. It's a ridiculous standard and that doesn't erase anything accomplished either. MCU will forever be the gold standard of this genre.I will say the MCU has basically trended down with very few ups. Except having a hit movie or TV show is the exception now, not the norm. If every other one were decent or really good, cool. Now we're getting bad--like, garbage level bad--properties all the time while the gems are only interspersed here and there.Getting the Russo brothers back is a big win IMO. You just described all of TV. Hence the tons of cancellation that happen on TV every single season on every single network. Disney bashers want to hold Disney to a different standard. Since when has TV or Hollywood for that matter not been a let's throw 10 things on the wall and hope one sticks industry?Except having a hit movie or TV show is the exception now, not the norm.
