• Godley has started against the Mets before; he allowed two runs in 7 1/3 innings in a 13-5 win at Chase Field on Aug. 17, 2016. His only other career outing against New York came six days prior when he tossed a scoreless inning of relief. Wheeler is 2-1 with a 2.33 ERA in three career starts against Arizona.

• While Mets starters entered Sunday with a Major League-high 5.13 ERA, the D-backs' rotation came into its series finale with Pittsburgh third in the National League in ERA (3.72).
