The guy who decided to drop a first-round QB and HC after a season doesn't lack stones, and if you think blowing things up improves the win column next season, you have another 'think' coming, I hope for your sake.
We're winning less games next season anyway. I'm trying to think about more than just next year, which IMO would be wasted on a lame duck coach and a team with no confidence they are on the right track.

Bidwill doesn't deserve that much credit for canning Wilkes. That was literally the single most boring season of football most of us have ever seen. We had entire games where we didn't cross the 50. We were a laughing stock. If MB had stones, he would have fired Keim along with Wilkes.

Kliff after the meeting talking to one of his assistant coach buddies: "Had a meeting with Mike and Steve. Mike is pissed. **** hit the fan".

Assistant coach tells Kyle.

Mike/Steve leak a rebuttal to national reporters/Gambo so as not to appear as a dysfunctional organization.
Maybe, but why would the assistant do that?

How many of you know Cardinals are a top 15 team in wins for the last decade?

Michael Bidwill likely thinks things are great on the field. Off the field the franchise value doubled.. You know what given Cardinals history he is right.

If I am Bidwill, I would say to Keim and Kliff clean up your act next year and move on to count my monies.
What you are saying is this happened based on Twitter news today. Oh my message is from yesterday, can I see the future?

of the four reporting on "the meeting"

ill take Kyle O's word over the rest-- best combo of source/access and independence.

Tim Ring makes a good point:

Man, it’s Michaels team and he can do what he wants with it…

…but it’s hard to imagine a coach with other options wanting to have to do this kind of stuff with someone who is a career loser. What a waste of time.

Kyle odgerad is a good journalist, have worked for cardinals.com, i m sure he has a reliable source
I don't know then if Bidwill is really furious or is just a planned attempt to show to the fans that is aware of our feelings and perhaps close to them
Talks are meaningless at this point, some changes must be made
A new offensive coordinator and new defensive coaches

Odegard will always be remembered as a franchise fluffer to me. I don’t really understand his report either.

Same. Dude has been pretty negative towards the cards since he stopped working there. Wouldn’t be surprised if he had sour grapes.

why would Mike B being mad and communicating that his expectations were not met be evidence of a dysfunctional organization

isnt that the definition of "functional"?

Problem being there probably won't be any consequences. If you wag your finger at a child and read them the riot act but then give them no consequences, they're going to realize you won't ever do anything. If Bidwill doesn't clean house or only makes token sacrifice firings, Keim, KK and the rest will realize it's business as usual and get even more complacent.

i think there is middle ground between "no consequences" and "fired immediately"

nevertheless

i am pushing back at the idea that a tense meeting means the organization is dysfunctional. There should be tense meetings right now

i dont think thats true

Odegard was calling the Cards the best team in football for much of the season.

during his time with the Cards, he walked that fine line as a team employee between objective and optimistic

Definitely and he wrote some really interesting analysis for the site, which is rare to see, obviously he couldn't stick there as other inept does for years

Maybe, somebody said OC? but really run game coordinator title was growing like mushrooms, somewhere, maybe GM that speaks up? I like Kliff he just NFL commits suicide passing too much early, which has always been the Knick. He did adjust, ran more and won, but really destroyed by Detroit, chase had 2 rushes Conner 1cat halftime, now this! I had the same problem with, with whiz and BA, feast or famine, when the had the players to play honest, waste of talent, waste of contracts, waste of fan years.

they all see nothing wrong, players too! Or they can’t be allowed to say so. Don’t even know if Michael sees it, has never said out of politeness? stop being polite be a boss! It’s the truth and if they are too fragile to hear the truth, we will see it for a umpteenth year.
