Yesterday, Mets outfielder Michael Conforto left spring training in Florida to return to New York. Following an evaluation by Mets medical director Dr. David Altchek, Conforto has been diagnosed with a strained right oblique, The Athletic's Tim Britton reports. Conforto will be reassessed in a week, but it would be surprising if he was ready for the start of the regular season.
