I was working out so the sound was down and I just caught the words scrolling across the screen....but one of them was saying the 0-5 Niners would win the division.

The other Mike picked the Cardinals. He said our defense wasn't as bad as the points put up against us.....something like when we lose we really implode.

No mention of Mad Max.

I didn't hear this specific conversation this morning, but part of it relates to Greenberg picking SanFran to play in the Superbowl this year.

We only have a 3 game lead on SF, and if they sweep us again this year, who knows, they could still finish ahead of us. I don't think it's going to happen, but it wouldn't be a total shock if they do.

Go Cards!!!

Good gravy are the Cardinals hated by the media or what? And what's up with SF love after an 0-5 start? I just don't get it, if we were 0-5 the Cardinal bashing would be never ending.

Maybe that's my own myopic point of view...yes SF can come back but seriously the chances are slim, still picking a team to win the division after their start is stupid at best.

If you look at the talent, you can understand the 'niner love:

On Offense

A 1000 yard rusher

2 recievers that were drafted in the top 10

3 1st round picks on the O Line and 2 2nd round picks

A QB that was drafted #1 overall

On defense

A franchised NT

One of the best DEs in the league

A OLB that was drafted in the 1st round

Two ILBs that were drafted in the 1st round, one is among the best

A CB that was drafted in the 1st round a SS that was drafted in the 2nd...

Good gravy, can you say under-perform?

With as hit and miss as the draft can be, basing a team's talent on their draft position is inaccurate at best. If that's all it took to be a good team, with as many high draft picks as the Cardinals have had in the past, we'd have championship banners littering the rafters.

really

I Can't really pull the underachieving card on the Niners as a Cardinal fan.
We are too, have been!

Their coach has the what the hell are you doing out there factor, So does ours, I don't know who has the advantage but Whiz is a TE and Sing Sing defended against him as a MLB. If Whiz dropped his pants female iron golems would fall in lust. old rusted iron balls.
blink blink calculated response.

My biggest complaint this moment is the lack of talent in the media, How can you be that wrong that often and keep a job? WE PAY FOR THIS CRAP WITH OUR TV DOLLARS!

People don't seem to understand that the new CBA is directly related to how the NFL can suck the most money out our wallets in a bad economy for as long as they can.

The NFL product has took a nose dive this year, player contracts are shelved waiting for more information, But the driving force is the TV contracts, and the media holds the hammer, growth has stopped, can this current money be sustained long term?

What can we cut from our budget and still get a fan to by our $285 black jerseys and the NFL package, They could start to keep my loyalty by prioritizing integrity of the game over money.

Like instant replay could focus on getting it right more than splitting atoms with the rules. Well we know its wrong but sorry about your luck city and fans, its the muck rule!

I'm off topic again sorry, Mike and Mike are 2 of the better media in my eyes, and He's allowed being a niner fan, DD is, Wishes Cards fans would act more like Niner fans, geesh give me a break. Niners are just tasting now what we ate for over a century. have they ever been 0-5 or even
1-5?

They better look somewhere else for pity, I hope they lose every game forever. except I would like to see the NFCW climb out of the gutter, Their the weak runt this year, Rams and Hawks rule them! YES sir E bob, I hope they puke on their own power ranking.

It's not just the Cards who have cause to bristle at the assumption that the 0-5 Niners will come all the way back. The Seahawks and Rams already have 2 more wins than the Niners, and Seattle was on a bye.

Who knows what'll happen, and we know better than to crown 'em. But seriously, some restraint, please. On paper the Niners are good. In the paper the Niners are 0-5.

I didn't hear the show in question, but previously, Mike Greenberg said that the 49ers would have the West wrapped up by Halloween. Of course, that was when SF was 0-0. In fairness to Greenberg, he's on the show for entertainment, not information or FF knowledge. And the humor is kinda stale.

To me all that shows is that they are either horrible at evaluating talent in the draft or their coaching staff is terrible at developing it. Or both.

The Niners don't suck as bad as their record shows. Their QB has thrown away games that their defense has paid for. They are not done yet, but I still believe we will be the better team.

As food for thought, Alex Smith has a better opportunity to fix his problems, than we have with Max Hall at QB. Alex is a couple of years ahead of Max in experience. Right now, however, Max has displayed the one thing that Smith hasn't, (the ability to get things done). He is a proven leader,------Smith has yet to show that he can be that. He is more like DA in that respect, (he has all the measurables to do the job, but he just doesn't seem to be able to do it).

I think Smith is a goof, but he has led game winning drives with under 2:00 minutes. Hall has yet to do that.

Just Realized

Smith from Utah, Hall from BYU, and we know Hall "hates" Utah...may lead to some "inspired" play:)

Smith is also leading all NFL QBs in turnovers. Hall has yet to do that.

BS. You are what your record says you are. No one ever cut the Cardinals an inch of slack when we had bad records. Why should Cards fans do that for the Niners? Screw 'em.

Thesmel theory, The Cards inspire the Niners to play well and win, This is the first year in a while where we don't see them early? We play them 12 and 17 weeks I think.

Mexico City, MNF, I want to smear them into the turf, but if we lose to the Niners twice and make the playoffs again, I'm not gonna cry over spilt Niner blood!

truth is they have to run the table to be 11-5 and win the division hands down, If they do that I will bow to Lil Mike and call him the king and master of my universe.

I count losses more than wins in this modern- bye week -17 week marathon. They go to 18 with 2 bye weeks and the NFL product is going to take another nose dive in quality, lack of team preparation, lack of player/coach/gameplan development. And every position not just RB will be by committee!

If they want to make the product better they would move to a 12 game regular season with 2 bye weeks each, expand the playoffs where 16 wild Cards would play each other, then every divisional winner would play the wild Card winners, bye bye- divisional playoff bye week.

add 8 more teams to the NFL(international and domestic). every snap would mean more, and the best players would spend more time on the field with less injuries.

How am I cutting them slack??? If you don't think that they will not be laying in the weeds for us, you live in la-la land. They have a good defense, and a great running back. If their QB gets it together, we will have our hands full with them. Even if we play well, those games won't be easy for us. Just telling it like it is. You're the only one I am cutting any slack for. You can take it for what its worth, or you can be prepared to face a couple of tough games against them. Its your choice. If you truly believe the niners are that sucky----so be it. Just don't come on the board screaming 'how could we do that', if they beat us one of those games. This is the NFL. Nobody is guaranteed two wins a year against anyone in this league.

I had my nephew go out side and pick up all the Alex Smith in the back yard. I had to pay him extra because we have two large dogs. ;)

When they are 0-5, they suck, period. Their defense sucks, their "great" running back coughed up the ball twice in the last game, etc. I hate to see our fans give them any respect that their fans would never return to the Cardinals if the tables were turned. Screw 'em. They suck until they take the division from us.
