DA obviously has lost touch with reality because if Amare's improvments on Defense were self imposed, or simply a matter of him "buying in" Amare would be the first one to give HIMSELF all the credit because, well, because he's Amare. If he's giving Gentry all the credit then I believe Amare. That whole article just smacks of bitterness from Mike D. I guess that answers my question about how he feels.

This team is so much different from his teams it's not even funny. Hey Coach, how's playing a 6 man rotation workin out for you up in NY?

not to mention the fact that Amare hasn't been the only one to say we never practiced D... GRANT HILL has even said the same thing.

Yes, DA is a complete and utter moron in my eyes now.

Next I'm waiting for D'Antoni to say that he tried to play a 10-man rotation, but the bench wouldn't buy into that either, so he was stuck with what he had.

Funny you should say that. Here's Amare explaining why the Suns improved defensively this year:
"I think you guys saying for us to be a better defensive team I have to play better defense (smiling). So I said, 'You know what, I'm going to come out and play better defensively and I'm going to figure it out.' And that's what I did. I figured out how to play defense, how to guard guys one-on-one and stay out of foul trouble, rotations, taking charges. I took more charges this year than my whole career. I might have taken more in these playoffs than I did my whole career."

hahah, that's typical Amare. He ain't no diplomat.:D

No kidding. In a group; team, friends....There is always somebody that is full of himself and makes the rest of the guy roll their eyes when he opens his mouth, that's Amare :).
I do give him credit for the all-around improvement in his game.

They were talking about this on ESPN and they asked Jalen Rose if he ever practiced D while in Phoenix and he just started laughing.
