Lampe is no more athletic than Luc Longley. He is more agile but definately not athletic. Not even close to Dirk. At best he is close to Brad Miller type of athletic ability.

You are basing this on what? Have you ever seen Lampe play or work out?

It can't be judged until we see the Vromeister in action.

I was just thinking...

From what I read, he is an in-your-face, pull-your-pants, step-on-your foot kind of player... 6'10-ish, rebounder... aggressive..

Bill Laimbeer?... kinda sounds like him.. I think he was a 2nd rounder as well.

That guy took people out of their game, and they just got so mad at him that they weren't playing the way they should.

I remember Barkley punched him during a game, got fined $20K, and then said it was the best money he ever spent. I always liked that comment from Barkley.

I'm a UofA fan, but if you paid attention AT ALL, you'd know that I never wanted the #7 pick anyway, even if it was Igoudala (at times, ESPECIALLY if it was Igoudala). So don't go spouting off your "UofA fans don't know what they're talking about" drivel. Go pedal crazy somewhere else.

Are you the only one UofA fan on this board? I didn't refer to you since I do remember that you never really liked Iguodala because he can't shoot.

You are still one of the greatest experts of sometimes being arrogant and ignorant at the same time.

hcsilla, even Mike D'Antoni said that they might not have traded the draft pick if they had known that Iguodala would be there. They thought that Harris and Childress had dropped out of the top six. I'm sure they based their assumptions on a whole lot more than a few mock drafts around the Internet. In fact I really doubt they even look at that crap when determining where a player will fall.

I probably missed that. Where did he say that?

I agree that they don't really care about mocks. Since we don't know what they thought I just tried to find out what Chaplin meant under "that was absolutely the thought."

I believe I read that in one of the articles on AZcentral.

Do we know for sure that they would have held on to the draft pick if they had known for sure that Iguodala would be available at #7? No, but it seems that way. Still, the Phoenix Suns are looking to get more experienced, especially in the backcourt.

That was a real curveball you threw, changing up your emoticon like that.

I had to double-check the left side of the post to make sure you were the one who wrote it. ;)

I agree.

but it seems that way.

And I disagree. I still don't see why would have been Iguodala such a good, "can't miss" pick.

nobody said they saw him as a "can't miss" draft pick. I'm just saying that it was assumed by most of the local media and even their own coach that they liked Iguodala in the draft. They just did not think he was going to be there at #7. If you don't agree with that it's your prerogative. That's fine. There really is no way to prove it either way.
