I just saw on Twitter that Singletery pulled Vernon Davis and Crabtree from their game walkthru and spoke with them on a sepearate field. They then went to his office where they talked longer. Wonder what the head cheerleader is up to

That's bizarre. Was there a potential discipline thing, or is he just apologizing for their QB being Alex Smith?

I think there's a heated battle at CB and S. I haven't been paying too much attention but I know there has been rumblings that R. Johnson might get cut. I may be way off base with that though... Also, who makes it out of Adams, Green, and Miller? Can't imagine all 3 make the team.

R.Johnson is not getting cut. He has been praised all TC and pre-season.

Urban has stated on several occasion how pleased the coaches are with his progression form last year. Has made some plays. Maybe you were thinking of Herman Johnson?

That's actually a very good question. He got beat bad in the last game and his weight problems are well documented. He might very well get cut and the Skins game is huge for him.

Is R. Wells safe? I hope so because we could use his depth/versatility.

I think this keeps him safe. He can play almost anywhere on the line. Flexibility will be his saving grace.

Reggie does have value, I think. More so than <a certain QB>, IMO.

Sources said the team is also willing to trade right guard Reggie Wells, who has started throughout the preseason. The Cardinals are deep at the position, and Deuce Lutui is pushing Wells for the starting job.

The Cardinals became overstocked at guard this off-season when they signed Alan Faneca and Rex Hadnot in free agents.

Wells moved from left guard to right guard to make room for Faneca and has been on the first team since last spring. Lutui reported to training camp overweight, but has been dropping pounds and making the contest closer.

With Hadnot and Jeremy Bridges capable of playing guard, there has been speculation that the Cardinals could part with either Lutui or Wells, barring injuries at the position.

Wells is in the last year of his contract and is due to make $2.4 million this year, a salary that could scare off potential suitors.

Looks like his salary might take away from his value a bit (even in an uncapped year).

Well, I suppose I could talk about how I managed to get lost on the way to practice up in Flag a couple of weeks ago and drove around the UNA campus for 20 minutes in the Monsoon and discovered they had a really cool telescope.

NFLN just reported VD and MC got into a "heated" discussion. Good. I think the 9ers imploding is about the only thing that is going to help the Cards' threepeat as division champs at this point.
