Booger...... The guy accepts the name Booger? OK.... I guess.

I know to some... this will come across as racist.... But I assure you it's not..

If I have to listen to a guy named "Booger" and can legitimately only understand 1 of every 4 words he speaks, and you're ok with that as a broadcast company...

Why does he have more mic time than the other idiots in the booth????
Maybe someone should switch seats?

Did the rules change?

I remember having to endure Siragusa every 5-10 minutes on the sideline, But listening to McFarland was as painful as if they moved Siragusa into the booth, and expected him to carry the broadcast.

I'd rather punch myself in the nuts, than ever listen to Dennis Miller call another game... But I think even he would be more palatable than this train-wreck.

I think that play was designed for him to go out of bounds after getting the lateral. If it worked it would have been genus and saved them clock time to run two more plays.
Perhaps, I really don't recall the exact time left on the clock. I just know that it was 4th down and they had a legitimate shot and time to throw it into the end zone and "try" to win. Instead they got cute and basically didn't even take the proverbial bat off their shoulder. You're probably right about the play but even so, they were trying a low percentage play to try and get out of bounds. Playing to get out of bounds doesn't really change the perception of their failure to me.

It's like in similar situations when a QB throws the ball out of bounds instead of giving his guy a chance. Who cares if it's intercepted at that point, it's your last shot at a win! I'm fine with getting creative with the shot you've got but it better damn well be a shot in the end zone or for the score and not to get out of bounds.

It was fourth down, and at the time of the "catch" there were about 13 seconds on the clock. They had 16 seconds at the snap IIRC. So they could have launched one play to the end zone the equivalent of a hail Mary or do what they did to get two shots at the end zone from around the 25 yards line. Either way the percentages are low. I had no problem with it, but I can see your point as well.

I don't recall the distance to gain for first down but it seemed prohibitive. With that little time on the clock it seemed much more realistic and prudent to go for the score while there was still a chance. The odds of completing the hook and lateral were probably about the same as completing something in the end zone so it's foolish to me that they chose their low percentage shot to go for the first down instead of the TD.

SoCal. Blast away bro. I don't think anyone on the board (including myself as one of the few black guys) think you're appearing racist for calling it like it is. Booger is horrible and yes, mealy mouthed. That, as you stated comes across horribly for those following the game closely. ESPN's gotta make a move here for next season.

I think Witten is the WORST color guy i have ever see . Cannot believe he got this job over warner. Who wanted.the job. Booger is a ridiculous act. I had to turn the volume off. I did not put on Slayer, but i did put on Judas Priest.
