No Al and John with the Cards
The Cards are not going to get a MNF game this season. There are only, what, 15-16 MNF games in a season? I don't know if the Boys, despite Emmitt's record pursuit, even had a nationally-televised game besides the Thanksgiving one, much less a MNF game (I just checked, and they didn't have a MNF game). MNF is for playoff teams or teams on the definite rise or with some exceptional historical interest (like a Steelers-Browns game). A Sunday night game is not out of the question, since I think all teams get a Sunday Night appearance (like the Cards-Rams game and Cards-49ers). I mean, do you think the people at ESPN were jumping for joy when they saw Bengals-Falcons in Week 4 or whenever it was?
No one is staying up until midnight in NYC to watch two bad teams (which is what the Cowboys and Cards are going to be) play on a Monday night, and that's all the programmers really care about.
