OK I went for the fanspeak draft this time instead of the composite. I thought it was fairly realistic. I'd be doing cartwheels, imho. I'd be very happy with either Varga or Williams in the 6th Rd. really. :)

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/draft.php?d=wehbiq

1- OT - Erik Flowers - Miami
2- G - Laken Thompson - Duke
3- DE - Trey Flowers - Arkansas
4- WR - Phillip Dorsett - Miami
5- CB - Nick Marshall - Auburn
6- FB - Tyler Varga - Yale
7- RB - Karlos Williams - Fla. St.

Here's the link:

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/

It's fun. Try it!

It's not entirely realistic---as you will see some players available in rounds where they should be long gone---like Todd Gurley dropping to the 3rd round---but, otherwise, it is reasonable given that their player rankings are solid.

So I just went with picks that I felt were the most realistic, given the choice on the board---and they list those choices with each pick.

Here's my Arizona Cardinals' Draft:

24. Alvin Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky
55. Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami (OH)
86. Tyler Lockett, WR/PR/KR, Kansas St.
120. Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson
151. David Johnson, RB, Northern iowa
182. Jamon Brown, G/T, Louisville
216. Blake Sims, QB, Alabama

Jamon Brown is a decent player but he had a problem with false starts in college.Everyone expected him to be a star but its like his mind is elsewhere.

Niiice. Forgot about Marshall. Every team can use a Tyler Varga. Dorsett is a burner with hands. Excellent return guy. That is an interesting draft board.

I'll have a go...

I'm a defensive guy so my draft is going defensive heavy. I'm also trying to keep with BA's statement that he wants to get longer and faster and trying to keep with players that fit with leadership and high character (for the most part)

24: R1P24
DE ELI HAROLD
VIRGINIA

Will shoot up draft boards. Excellent athleticism and leadership. Physical mentality. Played at 250 lbs and started learning to play at that weight by working on developing bull rush to compliment other pass rush moves.

55: R2P23
CB KEVIN JOHNSON
WAKE FOREST

Too good to pass up in Rd 2. Tall and long to go with good speed. Excellent body control. Light with frame to add weight. Plays much stronger than listed weight. Physical and willing run supporter. Needs to add strength, allowed too many broken tackles.

86: R3P22
CB STEVEN NELSON
OREGON STATE

Listed between 5'10 and 5'11. Excellent backpedal and hips. Keeps plays in front of him. Doesn't allow too much separation and does a good job of breaking passes up. Physical. One of the best CB's in fighting through blocks for run support. Solid leadership. Can never have enough good corners. Could play center field FS

120: R4P24
OLB JORDAN HICKS
TEXAS

Coach on the field. Lives in film room. Excellent motor. I project he'd play ILB in our 3-4. Very fluid and has sideline to sideline ability. Excellent tackler. Injury concerns but was healthy in 2014. Can blitz and cover.

151: R5P23
DT MARTIN IFEDI
MEMPHIS

Tenacious. High motor. Solid hand punch. More of a technician than athlete. Emotional. Will get flagged after the play. A little slow at times reacting to snap.

182: R6P22
RB JOHN CROCKETT
NORTH DAKOTA STATE

5'11 218 lbs. Bigger back with good speed. Can catch out of the backfield. Ability to break tackles at second level. Not the greatest vision and tends to dance/spin unnecessarily.

216: R7P24
WR DA'RON BROWN
NORTHERN ILLINOIS

6'0 200 lbs. Great hands and catch radius. Possession receiver. Not afraid to go over the middle and take big hit. Route running needs work. Too upright when making cuts and doesn't sink hips. Won't get a lot of separation until he improves route running technique.

Ok, one more (used different ratings engine)....

24: R1P24 - ILB BENARDRICK MCKINNEY - MISSISSIPPI STATE

55: R2P23 - DE OWAMAGBE ODIGIZUWA - UCLA

86: R3P22 - RB DUKE JOHNSON - MIAMI

120: R4P24 - WR BRESHAD PERRIMAN - UCF

151: R5P23 - TE NICK O’LEARY- FLORIDA STATE

182: R6P22 - DE DANIELLE HUNTER - LSU

216: R7P24 - CB JOSH SHAW - USC
I want that ratings engine because if the Cards could pull off a draft like that, it would be beyond amazing. By far may favorite draft on here.

In fact, I haven't really seen one that I don't like. Mine may be the worst of the bunch :D.

So this isn't exactly the most realistic draft in the world (Mariotta slipped to round 2 despite being ranked #4), but that's the way the draft fell...

24: R1P24 - OLB DANTE FOWLER JR. - FLORIDA

55: R2P23 - OLB ELI HAROLD - VIRGINIA

86: R3P22 - RB JAY AJAYI - BOISE STATE

120: R4P24 - WR TYLER LOCKETT - KANSAS STATE

151: R5P23 - OG JARVIS HARRISON - TEXAS A&M

182: R6P22 - ILB TAIWAN JONES - MICHIGAN STATE

216: R7P24 - OT JAMON BROWN - LOUISVILLE

Lots of McKinney in these drafts

I encourage yall to check out Eric Kendricks. I get hes visually less appealing than gigantic McKinney, but Kendricks is a smaller DWash clone in his game play.

Extremely fast, athletic. Playmaker all over the field. And a VERY good coverage linebacker.

I've been on this site for a while now. I've done quite a few drafts. Here is one of my favorites:
1. OLB/DE Alvin "Bud" Dupree. If he is not available there are other guys who would fit the bill and be a wise choice at the same position. Such as: Nate Orchard, Eli Harold, or Markus Golden.
2. G Josue Matias. Immediate starter at one of the guard positions. Most likely, right guard.
3. RB Mike Davis. Workhorse back to go along with Ellington.
4. WR Tyler Lockett. Punt returner and speed slot guy to replace Ginn.
5. C/G Max Garcia. Could start at guard but is most likely a project to start at center in a year or two. Sendlein is done soon.
6. OLB/DE Jermauria Rasco. Project at the speed rusher position.
7. TE E.J. Bibbs. Cards have 3 capable TE's. He would be the project at the fourth spot. Hopefully replacing Housler.

Get a real feel for how hard it is to get achieve multiple goals. For me the first round always comes down to an edge rusher or my choice of middle linebacker (I'm leaning to Perryman over Kendricks).

1) OLB - Vic Beasley - Clemson
2) OT - Cedric Ogbuehi - Texas A&M
3) C - Reese Dismukes - Auburn
4) WR - Phillip Dorsett - Miami
5) RB - Cameron Artis-Payne - Auburn
6) DT - Marcus Hardison - ASU
7) CB - Nick Marshall - Auburn

In the short term a middle linebacker is preferable to Beasley.

Don't really want Ogbuehi, but he is arguably the best of a week crop of offensive tackles in the draft. He slides because of the ACL tear and fixes his weakness which is insufficient strength while rehabbing.

Dorsett is a speed guy who could provide the impact that Jaron Brown didn't.

That leaves guard, corner, and inside linebacker to be filled via free agency.

I would be okay with this draft...it leaves out a couple of immediate needs but builds for the future and includes some late round talent bargains.....

I don't care for Winston based on the press he has received...but if he drops to 24,...they kinda have to take him don't they?? Just on the chance he enters the league with his head on straight and ready to move forward??

I think the Fanspeak one is the most realistic of the three options.

It's been a lot of fun to see everyone's choices. I really like so many of your drafts, and I have been struck by the thought of how deep ASFN is now in terms of fans who study the draft each year and really do their homework on the draftees, by viewing them and reading up on them.

Here's to the superb, knowledgeable fans here at ASFN! Bravo!

Jameis Winston being available at 24 encapsulates all that is wrong with this simulator. How does he get past the Eagles, Jets, Bills, Texans, etc. being the most pro ready quarterback in the draft?

Hopefully the initial free agent frenzy will allow this simulator to become more realistic.
