Jameis Winston being available at 24 encapsulates all that is wrong with this simulator. How does he get past the Eagles, Jets, Bills, Texans, etc. being the most pro ready quarterback in the draft?

Hopefully the initial free agent frenzy will allow this simulator to become more realistic.

While i agree with you...if further questions arise about Winston's character issues and/or he does something stupid before the draft, he could slide a la Johnny Manziel.

Not that Winston and Manziel are comparable as QB talents...but there were some who felt that the Texans should take Manziel #1 last year...which is how crazy draft speculations can be at this time of year.

If Winston keeps his nose clean and he interviews well he should be the concensus #1 pick.

Aaron Rodgers had it all before the draft....measurable,...stats....character.......

but he slid waaaaaaaayyy down the boards..........because of who his coach was.

Winston has more reason to slide then Rodgers had,,....doesn't mean he will of course,...but nobody should be surprised if it happens.............teams picking high want a ten year starter with that first pick.....not an immature kid who cant keep his name out of the papers from acting a fool.

my guess would be that none of the teams close to Florida will touch him,...it will be a team that is further away from his influences.

QBs where thrown way into the late first round last year on the simulator... and it happened :D

By reading these posts it's a great way to get an idea of players other posters like, especially in the late rounds.

I have been using the simulator for 3 years and its fun.

Now they have a new one up and it lets you be the GM. This is fun as you can be the GM in the off season the do the draft.

Try it and see how good your are. Oh and they get their salary info from Over the Cap.

I GOT WORK TO DO!

LOL, J/K Thanks for posting, super-duper fun, and I found out I am a cheap ass GM. :D

I have the speed of Steve Keim but the savy of Rod Graves. So, I get nothing done really quickly.

LOL, My offseason as GM

What would get me fired - I let Cromartie go and couldn't sign a starting #2 CB.

What would get me a raise - Re-signed Tommie Kelly, Dockett, and John Abraham, while restructuring Campbell and Fitzgerald's contracts.

Restructured:
Larry Fitzgerald
Calias Campbell

Cut:
Dockett
Sendlein
Tedd Ginn, Jr
Lorenzo Alexander
Ryan Lindley
Chirs Clemons
Marion Grice
Anthony Steen
Eddie Whitley

Re-Signed
Bradley Sowell - 1yr
Tommie Kelly - 2yrs
Mike Leach - 2yrs
Darnell Dockett - 3yrs
John Abraham - 1 yr

Free Agent signings
Bear Pascoe, TE - 4yrs
Curtis Lofton, ILB - 4yrs
Ryan Pickett, NT - 1 yr
Leodis McKelvin, DB/PR/KR - 1yr

Draft
1- Vic Beasley, OLB
2- Todd Gurley, RB
3- Mike Hull, ILB
4- Eric Rowe, CB
5- Max Garcia, C
6- Chucky Hunter, NT
7- Travis Raciti, DE

Not great but not bad, I would have been happier if I got Byron Maxwell, CB in free agency.

This draft is a bit out of reality: Here was my picks:

24: WR AMARI COOPER ALABAMA
55: RB TEVIN COLEMAN INDIANA
86: ILB STEPHONE ANTHONY CLEMSON
120: OLB JAKE RYAN MICHIGAN
151: CB BYRON JONES CONNECTICUT

I much prefer this draft which includes trades (although some are too good and should be ignored)- First Pick

After trading back a place or two over and over, I ended up with a lot of solid draft choices in rounds 2-4:

Round 2 Pick 2 (T.B.): Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia (B+)
Round 2 Pick 23: Mario Edwards, DE, Florida State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 25 (CAR): Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon (B+)
Round 2 Pick 26 (BALT): Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (A)
Round 2 Pick 27 (DEN): Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State (B-)
Round 2 Pick 30 (G.B.): Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana (A)
Round 2 Pick 32 (N.E.): Duke Johnson, RB, Miami (Fla.) (C+)
Round 3 Pick 1 (T.B.): Tre' Jackson, OG, Florida State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 2 (TENN): Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson (C-)
Round 3 Pick 22: Bryce Hager, ILB, Baylor (F)
Round 3 Pick 32 (N.E.): Damarious Randall, FS, Arizona State (D)
Round 4 Pick 1 (TENN): Senquez Golson, CB, Ole Miss (B+)
Round 4 Pick 2 (N.E.): Steven Nelson, CB, Oregon State (B-)
Round 4 Pick 10 (T.B.): Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 4 Pick 24: Connor Halliday, QB, Washington State (E)
Round 5 Pick 23: Tyrus Thompson, OT, Oklahoma (C-)
Round 6 Pick 22: Kyle Loomis, P, Portland State (C-)
Round 7 Pick 24: Tyeler Davison, DT, Fresno State (A)

RB MELVIN GORDON

55:
DE OWAMAGBE ODIGHIZUWA

OT CEDRIC OGBUEHI
TEXAS A&M

RB TEVIN COLEMAN

151: R5P23
ILB STEPHONE ANTHONY

182: R6P22
OT TYRUS THOMPSON

P SPENCER ROTH

I could totally see this draft. Its easily one of the more realistic sims Ive seen. Usually Im getting Jameis AND Mariota in the 1st and 2nd.

I like taking both Gordon and Coleman. Pretty much guarantee we'll have a franchise RB between the two of them.

I like Owa

Like getting the 2 Ts. Cedric is coming off injury, but when healthy, he wasa 1st rounder. I think Tyrus might be able to play some G. Very powerful guy.

Got everybodys favorite; Anthony
