Calais has always had problems tackling the QB when he gets to him. Just something weird about him. Maybe he's too tall. Meanwhile the D had 3 sacks so they weren't totally out of whack.:p

I have noticed this myself. I just cant help but wonder if because of his hieght he is afraid to hit a QB because it's going to be high and he will get penalized, and loses focus or technique.

I just watched the 4th quarter on nfl rewind and I didn't see a lot of that or Fitzpatrick having a ton of time to throw. What I saw was Fitzpatrick getting the ball out in less than three seconds to wide open receivers or to guys who were covered but made great catches. There were only a couple of plays where the Titans QB got away.

I still think our secondary is second rate in coverage and that is why teams move down the field on the Cards with ease until they get into the redzone where there is less room for pass catchers to maneuver.

But hey that's just me and whatever I think, or write or say about the Cardinals the opposite happens. :p

Agreed.

5. The Temptation to Write About Next Year.

Not going to do it. We will have forever and a day before next year's May draft, ugh. I just want to continue to see how this team, these coaches and these players continue to perform---and expend all my energy and thoughts into how in the world they can go into Seattle and stick the Space Needle into those cocky, arrogant, trash-talking, sideline strutting Seahawks. Harken back if you will to the day BA was hired and Steve Keim was at the podium and what was the one game that he swore would never happen on his watch as GM. Steve Keim has his hands on the Space Needle as we speak.

Lets photo shop that one Mitch!

I love the above paragraph. I hope the whole damn team remembers and the ones that werent here get a quick history lesson. the adjectives you used to describe the seahawks are exaclty how I feel....

Thanks for the 4th Qtr recap.

I think you may be right about CC having trouble wrapping QB's because of his height. WisconsinCard may be right as well, didn't CC pick up a BS roughing the passer call against the Titans?

Our DB's aren't nearly as bad as many believe but I get why that perception is out there. Teams simply can't run against the Cards so they have to try and move the ball through the air. Only two teams have had more passes thrown against their D then the Cards (40.3 attempts per game).

While Old Abe is having a good year he isn't an elite pass rusher. Cards need to blitz to get heat on the QB which also leaves the DB's exposed at times.

Cards have the 7th best QB passer rating against the opponents QB's, 79.9.

5th best at yards per completion (10yds) and per pass attempt (5.9)

FB outsiders have the Cards as the 2 best overall D and 4th against the pass through week 15.

PP's not so great performance against the Titans showed up in the Cards ranking going from #1 to #2 against opponents #1 WR. Cards are ranked 7th against opponents #2 WR & 8th against other WR's.

Cards are ranked 19th against opponents TE's which only surprises me because it's not worse.

Cards ranked 6th against RB's in the passing game which makes sense considering DWash and the year Los is having.

Ole Abe has 11.5 sacks, 4th in the League... to my mind, that's elite, and all the good pass rushers benefit from bllitzes.

I'm thrilled with what Old Abe has provided so far, still don't think he is elite. CC, DD, DWash & Los are very good pass rushers. So if Abe is elite how come we are about 17th in the league for sacks?

For discussion sake I will concede to you that Abe is elite at this point, still believe we need to draft a pass rusher or two this next draft. Old Abe has another year, maybe two of "elite" status. Most teams want more than one guy who is a crazy good pass rusher.

We are 7th in sacks, 8 behind the league leader Buffalo.

Thanks for the correction, not sure which site I got that stat from.

Thing is Bowles has proven to be a blitzkrieg type DC and having to do that to often does have its disadvantages.
